On thing that is in the Keep but I wish it wasn't is the Temple of Solassan. I really objected to using those skulls when I learnt how they were made. So I failed to finish the quest in the first game I played, only to discover it was referenced in the Keep. Next game I felt obliged to find all the shards so I could complete the quest but the final boss was so underwhelming, I couldn't see the point. So now I just ignore the skulls and that irritating ringing sound every time I go near them; simply change the Keep to show it as done should it prove significant at some stage in the future.
So in DA4 if a love interest warns you not to pursue a romance with them...

...will you still do it? Morrigan, Anders, Solas, and Blackwall all are very reluctant and it turns out for good reason. At the very least, if a character starts warning against a romance it's best to raise an eyebrow. They're likely hiding something.
You and I have different memories of how the Morrigan romance played out.

She actually insults you in that scene if you have low approval with her. Something about your romantic life being the one thing that you haven't managed to mess up.
I wanted to take the little cheese wheels and throw them at her for that. And maybe an arrow for good measure. We were literally at a meeting with two nations and the continent's most popular religion because the organization we headed caused Thedas concern. We must have done something right. Or, you know, been at the wrong place at the wrong time.

May I ask why? Regardless of our feelings on their construction, they were indeed already made at this point. (It also confused me that they're at least twice as big as any person's head we've seen. Bad design?)

Well, she is a b*tch, so I've just come to expect that kind of stuff from her. But, hey, if it bothers you so much Sera's right behind you guys. Get her to sneak some rotten fish in Vivvy's fancy hat. That's what Red Jennies are for.

I don't remember what my post on here was, but I don't think it answered the question, so... I'm probably going to romance every option open to straight males. (For a wide enough definition of "straight" that it wouldn't stop me from romancing Mae, you understand.) This is true whether or not the specific woman in question warns me that she's a bad catch and I should stay away. If I really believed her it might cause me to put her off for one playthrough, but that's probably it.

Yep, this is the one I got last night. If she likes you, then she is genuinely happy for you if you choose to say things are going well.

I justify continuing to find the shards as wanting to make sure that whatever the Venatori were wanting to use the skulls to find, they don't. That's my quizzy's way of avenging the Tranquil they killed.

Isn't there an option to say whether or not your character opened all three of the final doors? Or does the "Inner Sanctum" refer to something else.
Edit: Never mind, misread. Anyway, you never know: it might be that opening the Sanctum might be more of a bonus in the next game than in this one. Also I think it's really helpful if you're playing Qunari, since I got the impression there was a Purple Quality facepaint. Which I have yet to randomly find anywhere.

Really? Huh. For once, that's where romancing Solas comes in handy.
Vivienne had rock-bottom approval in that case too, but she never said anything outright insulting in that case. She just said, "I know you were terribly disappointed when Solas left" in that false sympathetic voice. It isn't outright insulting, but it does feel like twisting the knife. "Thanks, I was trying to forget that bleeding hole in my heart, and you went and just plunged the dagger right in. Thanks for that."

Aaaand I don't know how to continue with the joke. I mean, yeah, I'll still do the romance, let the wild or not so wild ride come. Sometimes sadly the ride is not really worth it (personally I wanted to become friends with your supposed rival for Josie, even if Leliana'd hated me and I was left without an LI) and sometimes you take repeats. (Damn you Izzy. Seriously, I've tried to do runs of DA2 specifically to not romance her and I still can't not flirt with her. At least it's not as bad as with Kira for me, I did a new Knight playthrough just to see how the romance works with a mostly dark side guy.)

Yeah, isn't Morrigan rather eager to hop into bed with you?

Into bed, but not into an actual romance. Hence repeated warnings that you'll regret it, to "release her," etc.

I always roll the dice. Sometimes you end up with an Anders who breaks your heart (blowing up chantries and being more than a little cuckoo), sometimes you end up with a Blackwall who ultimately doesn't stomp all over your heart IF you're able to forgive him and give him the opportunity to openly atone (per the Trespasser epilogue, if you free him without any strings attached, he goes on to redeem others in the same way that he himself was redeemed, ultimately helping quite a lot of other people find some measure of goodness within themselves).

I had low approval with her (did her quest, gave her the right heart but never got enough approval to get her friendship scene, and she disagreed with every main quest choice I made) and I don't remember her being rude to Lavellan in that scene. But I did romance Solas so I wouldn't get a line about not messing up in the romance department.

With the trials the final boss should be better fun to fight since everything scales to your levels with the right trials.

I would say no but that is probably not going to be true. I have chosen the worst options for characters in bioware games lol. It really depends on what other characters are like in comparison. In dragon age/mass effect I just choose my favourate even if it is a bad idea.

I'm not deciding on whether the character is broken or not, prominising a happy ending or not.
I'm deciding just because of aspects like:
- is the character interesting for me/my MC
- is he/she compatible with me MC
- Does it fit the story?
It's all about roleplaying. For me, it has to be somehow authentic.

I eat angst up with a spoon and loved the Blackwall romance, so I'd probably go for it if I liked the character.
That said, it might be nice for my 'canon' character to get a romantic happy ending just for something different. My first Hawke rivalmanced Sebastian but refused to kill Anders, and the Inquisitor sent Blackwall to the Wardens. Not to mention that there's no confirmation that Queen Cousland ever made it back from her quest.
My main romance criterion for DA4 is 'are there any romanceable dwarves?', though, not how tragic or otherwise the romance might be. (I have some hope that BioWare will break their fifteen-years-and-counting streak to let us romance Harding, and if so, I already know who my romance is. Unless dwarf romances are like buses and there's more than one.)

The Warden/Leliana ending (both Divine and non-Divine) mention that the Warden came back and she and Leliana live happily together. So it's highly likely that the Warden always makes it back.
Now I just need to find out if Alistair made it out of Weisshaupt.
