Elias Toufexis would be cool. He has experience and can do different voices although his deep Adam Jensen voice is what he's known for.
He sounds lot different from Mark Meer and I think that's good thing. It would set new protagonist even more apart from Shepard.

You know, I usually agree with you with a lot of stuff but... I don't know... something about his voice just grates on my nerves for some reason. In the first sample he also sounds pretty much exactly like Romero (Brian Mitsoda) from VTMB game and it's hard to get past that one. 
Gideon Emery. He's got a very memorable, attractive voice. Like Claudia Black. He's voiced every second NPC, but has he been a protag?
I also kind of want a Southern American voice like Ben Browder or Andrew Lincoln (in TWD). I just think they sound good.

I went to see this Romero guy on youtube and he does sound similar. I guess it's the raspiness. Doesn't bother me though, haven't played that game.

I guess he'd be okay as long as he wouldn't sound the way he does as Adam Jensen. I just keep seeing this space Romero in my head. Romero is actually quite hilarious; lives in a graveyard, calls into the radio night show with different names and is an avid customer among the working girls. But Jensen voice would make it hard to take the MEA protagonist seriously.

Brian T. Delaney.The dude doing the male voice in Fallout 4 is great. Wouldn't say no to him.
I think Connor Trinneer has a great voice, David Hewlett, Nathan Fillion, Austin Butler, Jasper Jordan, Joshua Jackson. They are a few of my favorite. I also like Freddy Prinze Jr.
Vladimir Kulich. He voiced Ulfric in Skyrim, also that cool elder Viking in Vikings, and Buliwyf in 13th Warrior.
He would be an awesome choice, and a departure from the usual American / Canadian / British actors for Bioware protagonists.
Speaking of Vikings actors, Travis Fimmel would be a good choice, if he is willing to do voice work for video games.

To use some actors who have already done Bioware games I'd say either Nolan North or David Hayter.

The dude doing the male voice in Fallout 4 is great. Wouldn't say no to him.
I didn't finish the game yet, but so far he seems to be capable of displaying the same level of emotions as a rock '-'

Some are VAs that did work on previous Bioware games. Gideon Emery for example voiced Fenris.
That said, I'm not sure who some of these people are either. It should be a rule for VA wishlist threads that you have to post a clip or a link to some of their work if they aren't some Hollywood A-lister like Robert DeNiro or Jennifer Lawrence.
