It is First Contact. You are approached by a blue spectacled alien. It's an Asari mathematician. The Asari expresses interest to discuss number theory with you.

If that is an offer from a Russian mathematician, ....

I don't really understand the Crusader. Too much of the game going "eh, that wasn't really a headshot" and barely doing any damage, missing Husks at close range because of the way the crosshair works when firing him hip, the fact that it's a precision weapon yet isn't hitscan, and it just doesn't fire nearly as fast or reliably as the Black Widow.

It's hit scan, it hits where you were aiming a few frames ago, you can patch that on pc, it's a bug. It's a great shotgun, precise, good ammo count, innate penetration, hits hard.

Here.  It's very simple to install.

Reserves pack is the best. It has a slightly better percentage than the others, (according to the thread about actual pack results) it's not much of a difference, but anything is advantageous.

I doubt there is actually any difference in probability.  Buying Reserve Packs because they produced slightly better results in the study is like switching to a different Roulette table because you're not doing well at the one you're at.

I tried out the Crusader fix and got 75 kills and 20 headshots on my first try.  A pixel-accurate hitscan weapon that doesn't actually hit where you're aiming is astoundingly stupid, good thing someone came up with a solution.

Somehow the Asari looks just like Снегурочка.

I seriously find this thread both hilariously entertaining and totally depressing (ah, the glory of BSN!).

Mgamerz knows more about the inner workings of ME3MP than anyone outside of Bioware (and now that they've moved on, perhaps more than anyone, full stop.) He's told you what the code/programming says...yet people argue that they *feel* he's got it wrong.

This phenomenon completely explains the popularity of Donald Trump...

...and is why we Americans should have to pass a battery of tests (logic, reading comprehension, basic history, etc) before we're allowed to vote.

Which most would fail, prompting Democrats to introduce a "No Voter Left Behind" Act, putting us right back where we are now (after spending tens of billions of dollars and raising taxes, of course)

That's the nice way of putting it, yes.

My thoughts leaned more towards the people that failed the test banding together and beating up the people that pass it... There are good reasons everyone gets to vote. Or not vote, as they want.

Well I just played 3 matches with the fixed Crusader.  Hits like a Black Widow, firerate like a Valiant.  You don't get a sniper scope, but if you git gud aim, this thing is extremely powerful.

It's interesting that when I create a binary diff file from the original (a patch file), since the "fixed" version removes 5 bytes (latency var) it does not make a 1kb file. It seems to create nearly the whole file (278KB). Weird how you can change or add bytes in a patch but can't remove them.

I have a shotgun in real life.  It has interchangeable barrels depending on the type of shell loaded.  One barrel with a smooth bore for the buckshot shells, another barrel with rifle bore for heavy slugs.

WHY DO THEY CALL IT "BUCKSHOT"?

The so-called "buckshot" is for hunting small game, squirrels, pheasants, skeet shooting, etc.  The heavy slugs are the ones used for deer hunting, but "buck" is the term for male deer.

Humans, please.

Just need another barrel for sustained electricity...when you're hunting flashlights.

Technically "buckshot" is for deer; the actual name of the pellets themselves is just "shot". So you can have buckshot, turkey shot, birdshot, etc. Slugs are obviously only meant for bigger game.

This thread inspired me to try my Crusader I for the first time last night, with a Krogan Soldier in a Gold match against Cerberus. It reminded me a lot of the Executioner's Pistol, until it finally dawned on me that the Crusader has a 4-shot magazine. My effectiveness against Atlases increased sharply, after I stopped all that unnecessary reloading!

I'll definitely use it again. Seems like a nice option when you want serious punch both up close and from a distance, but for whatever reason don't want to equip a sniper rifle. Having said that, I'm not sure I see any advantage over the GPS or the Graal, with respect either to punch or distance. Maybe it's just the satisfaction of firing really huge slugs at things.

More like BSN now. :D . One 'your better half' thread is enough.

Is it bad that I love the troll posts and one of the reasons I frequent BSN?   I particularly remember Megabeast -Deerber fight and switching on my roaming on airports for updates. Was expecting slaughter-slender. Unfortunately nothing. I demand compensation.

Graal and gps don't pierce and aren't hit scan.

Same, but in my case that's because I have crappy aim.

Still, it's nice to know that now I'm missing because I suck, and not because Bioware's coding does.

Correct.  Buckshot is just a slang term for very large shot.  If you shot a pheasant with buckshot, you would have little more than a pile of blood and feathers left over.  Not very effective if you're hunting for food.  People use buckshot most frequently for hunting deer, turkeys, coyotes, and other similarly-sized animals.  It's also probably the most effective thing you can use for self defense.  Although ironically, buckshot is illegal to use for hunting deer in many places, because it's more likely to not result in a clean kill.
