true!

But I have never had so much fun with any other game and the chances I'd like other similar games
are just very big.

Also, I have recently bought other games (Pillars of Eternity, Heroes of Might and Magic 7, Dark Souls 2, etc.)
and none of these came nearly as close.

Alll these are good games without doubt.  But I am looking for a coop MP which is as compelling as ME3 MP.

Where you just born or just started playing videogames?

But seriously. Lots of other videogames out there where you really get into them at one point and get that "no other game as great or like it" feeling. Just a matter of playing a particular game at the right time and the the space time continuum being aligned or something. ... Yes, life ain't simple. And tastes and moods change all the time...

As for Dark Souls 2. It's a really great series. Especially online (so play them now). Only problem. It's one of those games where a considerate amount of effort and playtime is required until you really & finally discover the beauty of this series (again, like many other games and genres). But once you do. You'll thank me.

The way I got into this DS series was persisting to try to figure out what all the rage was about with this series and why fans of it consider the best game series since year 2000? I too didn't see it at first and only wanted to play ME3mp like you now. But I kept coming back to it (at first it was very hard with much time in between playthroughs) until I hit the 30-35hr mark. Then it finally clicked. And am glad for it. Only regret. That I didn't get into this series sooner when more players & bloodstains were online (I even had DS2 when it just came out but couldn't get into it around it's release when crazy amount of players were online... not going to make the same mistake with DS3. Day 1 purchase for sure and the number one game I can't wait for + main reason to get next gen console in time for day 1 DS3 online playing... well, that and Fallout 4, of course. But F4 can wait since it's offline only... I'm also getting a PS4 for free this Dec 15 if I win this quitting smoking bet... so far so good at 8 days in...).

Well, I played them all: from populous, Zack mc cracken, maniac Manson, Kotor, fallout 1+2, Baldurs Gate, Gothic 1+2, etc. so I haven't been just born, unfortunately.
Kotor was the best game, btw but ME3 the best online game. and definitely the game I killed the most time with.

as to DS2: you say exactly the same things I heard from the guy who brought me to buy it ;) I have that scholar of the first sin version which is not sooo old. still you think that online is almost dead?

I might consider getting this but Destructoid gave it 6/10, and my friend Pete said it is garbage.  I've been playing online games with him since 2001 so I tend to respect his opinion.  Then again, he is even more hardcore than I am, so his perspective is of course relevant.

Is anyone here playing this on PC regularly?  If I am just going to keep dropping into pug matches then I will just stick to ME3 for now.

As I said, I plan on doing that, eventually, but not now.

I've been playing Battlefront for a few hours now, and if you're looking for an ME3 type experience, this is sadly not it. The Star Wars atmosphere is great, and I do enjoy the space battles and the Endor speed bikes (especially when marksmad is co-oping with me - he is such a tree-hugger, who would have thought). But the battle arenas feel shallow compared to ME3. What I miss the most is the variety of the kits, the use of powers and synergies. In effect, you're plonked at random on a map, and it's about who sees an enemy first and shoots the fastest. It's very hectic and does not leave much room for strategy. To be fair, there are some maps and modes I have not tried yet, but let's put it this way: after an hour of Battlefront, I just want to go back to ME3...

Really? Sounds disappointing. I sunk a lot of hours into the first two and was kind of looking forward to it.

This thread is being closed because it does not discuss ME3 multiplayer.
