When the Warden comes to the mage tower to remove demons, I never knew what it was. It looks like organs????

It's just Meat Moss.  The Abominations added it for decoration.  Probably shed it off their own forms.  It does look like them.

I think it safe to say that you can draw an assumption that anywhere the veil might be compromised, twisted reflections of The Fade can break through. The meaty red growth is the Fade's corruption translating itself in our corporeal world.

Its the 'real' world becoming more of a nightmare. Consider it something like a rotting organic matter.

Or, based on there being similar protrusions down in the Deep Roads near the broodmother, it might be an indication of Blighted lyrium, that the lyrium was sickening as a result of all the demons that were unleashed.

Personally, I still want an explanation for the sudden dragon attack in the upper chambers.

I figured they had a set of juvenile dragons as raw materials or experimental subjects and they got loose.

I tend to think there's a similar source for both.

The dragons were for study by mages. Education. Maybe more, but that's all I got from it.
