So, do you suppose MEA will be designed with the new controller in mind, allowing for more powers than just three to be hotkeyed?

Since it likely wouldn't have any impact on MP I don't see why they shouldn't add options for the Elite controller.
Just an aside, is the Elite controller Windows compatible? I haven't been keeping up with the Xbox One stuff.

As for the OP I don't think it should be a priority. If it's there, nice, if not, well, how many people are going to actually own it? On the other hand what would they need to do aside from rebindable keys? I know that the elite controller has more keys, but you can't develop with them in mind, least most of the console playerbase find themselves with commands on buttons they can't push.

According to what I saw on Amazon, it works with Xbox One and Windows 10.

Could be but its probably not a priority for them seeing as how neither the standard controller or the DS4 has those extra buttons, meaning a majority of players will never be accessing it.
Nice if it has functionality for rebinding to those keys but don't be surprised if it doesn't do that.

ME3 had Kinect support and hardly anyone had Kinect.

I don't think MEA will be designed to have people buy a new (and expensive) controller to play it, especially since PS4 players don't have a similar controller yet.

Is full controller support for the PC version at launch asking too much?

Probably not - as in not asking too much. I believe DAI had full controller support at launch.
Every photo of a tester playing the game has the tester using a controller with the keyboard and mouse shoved to the side.
So full controller support in, Mouse and Keyboard will be questionable in its usability I'm predicting.

Who's saying it should be mandatory?
