I have made sure our friends over at valve now have the manual.

it should be there as soon as they decide to put it up

Seriously, does it even come w/ a manual? EA. Steam and Bioware are not on the same page. # support tickets w/ all of them for 1 game. You guys make me sad.

I disputed the sale as an incomplete  product - no documentation - VISA said no problem. Thanks for helping Bioware - EA & Steam screwed you out of a few units as my friend arent buying it either.

I bought it at GamersGate ... contained a manual .. but man, what a let-down. It explains absolutely nothing and was 17 pages long.

None of the screenshots in the manual were any good, as once you zoomed past 100% you couldn't make it out, and the screenshots at 100% were too damn small and useless.

Come on!

So don't worry about the lack of manual ... you won't be using it for anything anyways.

Manuals are a thing of the past with video games. I can still remember the 200 page book that came with Baldur's gate... good times.

Any RPG has to have a manual so you can understand the character classes (builds) and make an educated choice for play rather than "gee this character class sucks - start over ..." FPS I agree no manual - but RPG need one or you get pissed and stop playing due to frustration of trial and error on character classes.

BTW Steam is not including a manual - and thanks for the link, but I want steam to put one (PDF) up so others get it and no go through the BS I did. :)

Steam Support Wrote: "Hello,

A staff member has replied to your question:

Hello, Thank you for contacting Steam Support. Manuals can be accessed in either your Steam client or through the Steam Store. Steam client 1) Log in to Steam 2) Navigate to the My games tab 3) Right-click on the game name and select View Player Manual Steam Store 1) Visit the Steam Store page at http://store.steampowered.com 2) Search for your game and bring up the game page 3) On the right side you should see a link for viewing the manual for this game in .pdf format. Please let us know if you have any further question"

Short story = they did not even read my report as they directed me to download in the places I told them I had already LOOKED!

That's a very good question - there doesn't seem to be one. I checked a few other games and some have one, so I would assume it may have gotten removed.

In Steam, go to the Store page and search for Mass Effect 2, on the its page, scroll down. On the far right, it will say "Single-player" in green, there are four links below it, the second one down is called "view the manual" click on it and it should open your browser, which should then download and display the manual.

Hope that helps.
