I took my DW warrior (level 14), Zevran(level 14), Sten and Wynne (both level 13) to the Cardin's cross on nightmare difficulty. I put Zevran in stealth mode and made him penetrate deep into the enemy territory where the enemy mage was (I'm not particularly fond of fireballs). He did the job and used duel weapon sweep and whirlwind when he got surrounded and then ran like hell towards the rest of the party, met them , rejoined the battle. I was so busy killing enemies, I didn't realize how far back Wynne was. Before Zevran reached her to help while my warrior and Sten was still busy killing, she died. And then after a while, she was back on. I put 'ally status: dead - revival' in one of her tactic slots, but seriously? She wasn't even injured when I checked later. I didn't realize she could revive herself. Did anyone else experience something similar?
Did Wynne just revive herself?

Does she have this activated...? Because that's the failsafe for a dying character to "resurrect" themselves, and she is a spirit healer.
Lifeward spell

Oh, she had that in one of her tactic slots as well, though much lower priority. That explains why it didn't work the second time she died. Twice dead in one area is pretty bad and never happened before since I got fairly used to the skills of each class. I guess it's something to do with the nightmare difficulty, but also she doesn't have any offensive spell at the moment save the stonefist. I will put the lifeward option in a higher order, though next section I will have to take Morrigan as we are going to deal with spiders and her enthropy spells could be a lifesaver.

Yes she does revive herself sometimes with vessel of spirit.

Oh, she definitely doesn't have vessel of spirit. After so many play rounds, talking to the companions gets tedious, so well, I don't do the companion quests any more save the Alistair one because I usually need to harden him even though that's the most tedious one. But hmm, perhaps I will do that one. I've never made much use of that ability. .

Although it is more powerful if you do her quest & get Aneirin's amulet.
She doesn't have to wear it, it increases her vessel of spirit just being in your backpack.

You are right. I just checked to learn that she has that ability now even though I haven't talked to her at all so far and therefore no random encounter involving Wynne. Thanks for the info.
