How long do you think Mass Effect Andromeda should be?
(Normal difficulty, but you can factor in estimates for harder difficulties if you'd like.)

atleast 35-40hours....to include side quests and what not. more would be nice...but 35-40 is just right in my book. anything shorter than 30hrs to go from start to finish (for any game) and im upset
Since its mentioned that's its a bigger area to explore than ME3, I would guess at least 50 hours.
Either way, the time doesn't bother me since I will do a speedrun as well as a completionist run
Hopefully around at leas the same length of time as ME2/3 but if they can do wellanf make it longer then great but I'd want it at least as long as ME2 and ME3
Witcher 3 main quest caliber or at least 2 times of that of Da:i.
Talking about main story here.
I am hoping for 35-40. That does not include sidemissions but does include the following
Character Creation
Gathering/Crafting
Dialogue
Exploration
In-game features (such as building/colonizing planets [if confirmed], etc)
Main Plot
Difficulty
40 with high replayability. Otherwise it's Filler Time.
Are we talking completionist, or what?
The question is based on your play style.
80hrs.
or
40hrs where choices actually matter
I would say it is about has long has Dragon Age Inquisition

As long as it takes to get from the beginning to the end without feeling rushed or dragged out.
Honestly I'd like it if it was 100+ hours. But in reality I doubt it'll last more than maybe 35 hours or so. Most open world games' main story line can usually be completed in just about two or three days worth of a few sessions (if all you do is just completing main quests and nothing else). I'd like it if that 'trend' would change, especially for BioWare games if anything. Give me a long-lasting main arc for a change. I don't mind if there's only a 'few' side quests, as long as the main one gives me 100+ hours. I'm in mostly for the story, that's why I play BioWare games, I honestly don't care all that much about doing side quests and saving some ultimately unimportant random colonist who was stupid enough to go explore alone and got lost on an alien world. I hope that BioWare learns from Inquisition, because the amount of boring filler side quests in that one was epic, the main arc wasn't (and wasn't long either).
But yeah I'm realistic too, I know it won't happen. So I'm going to predict that the main arc won't last more than maybe 40 hours (that might be pushing it, but we'll see). I do hope, at least, that the side quests will be fun and numerous.
I'm wary of the "more and bigger = better" approach. I suppose it varies depending on how much time you're willing and able to put into games. For me, I'd prefer that a game not take more than a month at most to finish if it's going to be one that I'm planning on playing multiple times. I have a lot of playthroughs of all the Mass Effect games, but only once for each Dragon Age and Witcher game so far. Part of that is that I'm more of a sci-fi fan than a fantasy fan, but another part is that the ME games just don't take as long. I can play the entire trilogy in the same amount of time that it would take for me to finish DA:O or TW1, and probably less time than DA:I or TW3.
DA:I was 20h main story + character stuff. and 100h filer stuff fetch quest picking flowers shards and runing.
In ME :A best would be reversed, logical 40h. main story/companion stuff, and if filer stuff is as boring as DA:I than 0h.
Honestly it's not amount of time what is important If game is good the longer the better.
And DA:I main story pacing is horrible because of "open world" I hope ME:A don't have this problem.

Though I should clarify that I'm not sure how long I spent actually *playing* TW1 because of those load times. I suspect that my total time as measured by Steam was significantly inflated, especially since there were a couple times that I started the loading process and then left to do something else for a while, figuring that it would at least be ready by the time I got back. (Not that I advocate doing that - in retrospect I probably wasted some electricity there.)
Based on my own play style, which is a completionist playstyle, as long as ME2 and ME3. ME1 took me 30 hours the first time I played it, but on subsequent runs I've reduced that down to 14 hours, even with the big empty world's there's not much to do in that game. ME2 and ME3 on the other hand always take me 40 and 45 hours respectively, though I always play on Insanity which probably adds a few extra hours on top.
Note:These play times include all the DLC
Anything longer than 50 hours for a narrative based RPG like Mass Effect would be overkill, at that point all devs are doing is padding.
100 hours total would be cool.
50 for the main plot
50 for side quests and squadmate related loyalty missions, if any.

They probably sold themself to the Master Mirror to accomplish that...

Agreed, and I would assume DLC would also be inculded in the 100 hours.
the main story should take at least 35-40 hours and if it's going to be open world and exploration involved then around 100 hours+/-
Time is hard to factor, but I want the missions to be longer, to have side objectives to complete.
