With DLC, I'd like DLC to be about 1.5 - 2 hours in length. I don't want a DLC mission that takes 15-30 mins to complete.
How long should the campaign be?

I think the multiplayer will last until ME:A2 is announced. And yes, I believe this game will be another trilogy.

50 hours max, then 3 years of complaining how multiplayer isn't as good as ME3MP, even though it's basically the same game with different maps and a slightly different control scheme.

Sounds like Mario agreeing on something.

Longer than DAI. I'd also like the main missions to flow together better. ME1 had set mission locations, but you could dip in and out of all of them (except Virmire). E.g you could land on Noveria and do all the stuff at Port Hanshan, then investigate Feros, then come back to Noveria to explore the labs. There were also various ways to handle different things in the mission, and sidequests relating to it. DAI's main quests were more like ME2's, where you go to this contained area and can't leave (or come back later), and the only thing to do there is the main quest.
Those types of contained missions also makes the brevity really stand out. DAI has about six main missions in total (templar/mage, Haven attack, winter palace, Wardens, temple of Mythal). That probably wouldn't have mattered in ME1, where you had lots of room to change things up, explore, pick different choice paths, and loads of interesting sidequests. But it was very noticeable in DAI, where main quests were a big cinematic one-track affair, and sidequests were ME3-style "click on person for quest, now go to X and fight Y, come back for reward".

However long it is I'd prefer it to be more 60/40 split of stuff that actually matters to filler - it's possible to complete Mass Effect 2, for instance, in around 2 hours, so that's about 28 hours of padding of varying quality. So I don't mind if the game is 30 hours long or 80 hours long as long as there's a good story, good characters and a better balance between the main plot-line and side-quests/filler.
Much more than 100 hours and the game's getting too big IMO.
Much as I love The Witcher 3 even I've not bothered to visit every ? on the map - by the time I got near the end on my first play-through I was definitely ready for the finale (took 197 hours from start to "finish"). I did a lot of side-quests and games of Gwent though.

15-20 hours at max. I beat ME1 in 18 hours on my first run and I actually did plenty of side-content. ME2 was 40 hours (cuz lots of side content) and ME3 was 30. All three games have about 15 hours of actual main campaign and it shouldn't go above that. I hope bad side-quests won't drag ME:A up to the 80+ mark like DA:I though, but then again... if DA:I's main plot and companion content was even half as good as ME2's or ME3's that would probably make me feel okay about spending 80 hours in it and tons of bad side-quests.
I just hope ME:A will have a concise story that is perfectly fine or even amazing but then have that sense of awe and wonder in exploration that ME1 had where the world building was way more impressive than the main plot and I just want to spend my entire winter inside that universe.

OK. My playstyle's one where I'll blow off any exploration that doesn't make RP sense -- so, almost everything in ME1, everything in ME2 unless I need minerals for upgrades, just about nothing in ME3, only doing a fraction in DA:I.
Given that style, I'd like the game to come in at somewhere around 35-40 hours to the completion of the storyline.
I have to headcanon that they are unaware of Feros and Noveria at the start of ME1, in order to rationalize exploration in the sense of they actually dont know where to go and have no leads...because I love exploration and am a completionist, and yes it makes NO sense the way the plot in Mass Effect 1 allows for it. I agree.
Luckily, it seems like this wont be the case for Andromeda as exploration is a necessity due to being in a totally unexplored region of space.

It takes a special kind of game to hold my attention for that long. If I play through the entire main quest, I want the game to have earned that.

20-25 hours for the main story, and 20 hours for side stuff.

I want it to be as long as the trilogy at the very least - WITHOUT exploration. ME1 took me 35 hours, ME2 and 3 both took me about 42 hours the first time.
With exploration I expect it to be about as long as DAI, which I finished in 94h (without doing everything!). THAT was quite exhausting, so I'm not sure I want that... Then again, it's optional, so why not?
If they cut the SP story in favor of MP, I'll be seriously mad. And exploration is NOT a good trade-off for story. Never. Give me endless corridors again if it means a good story. I'll take ME2 or DA2 claustrophobia over collecting shards any day.

This headcanon clears up a plot problem. Who actually sent the message about geth on Noveria? Nobody in Port Hanshan saw them. The rachni broke out at Peak 15 before Benezia showed up with the geth, and nobody sent any messages from there after that.

yeah none of Bioware's DLC's are that short really in fairness the shortest I think i9s probably Bring down the Sky for ME1 and even that takes me at leas3-4 hours to complete I think but then I'm not the quickest of players. I wouldn't expect it to be the same length as Dragon Age as their both different series and as such paced differently. But I would expect and hope that lengthwise at least it's on a par with the previous ME games in terms of length and complexity because at the end of the day despite what some may say about the trilogy's ending the rest of it was just about perfect.

I'll put it this way: I'd be dissapointed if the campaign wass less than 10 hours, BUT I'd rather have 20 hours of fun, meaningful exploration, sidequests and main quests, than 40 hours with 20 hours of the above and another 20 of wandering aimlessly and fetch quests.

40-45 hour campaign
60-70 hour mixed (campaign+some side missions)
100+ Completion
