I have been looking for a dvd box version of a basic ME1. It's simply non-existent in my country. Do I have to fall so low and buy things in Amazon? Is this the only place in the world that has the game (when I checked they got only 8 dvds)? Anyone got some clue? Maybe EA instead of selling some virtual things and maximizing its profit, which is understandable to some extent, will allow some fans have a choice and let us get a real dvd thing from inside a box that has some collectable value to some people? How about it?
Does anyone know where can I buy NON digital version of Mass Effect 1?

Unfortunately ME1 is an old game now and if you aer looking for a disc vresion it's likely Amazon is likely the only place your likely to get one now. Either that or buy a boxed version of the trilogy which contains discs with all 3 games on. Of cdfourse it depends on where you live though but in the UK usually Amazon or Ebay for getting old games but given that ME1 still requires an internet connection to work unless you know how to override it(I do btw) it can be tricky to work.
Unless of course your talking about the PS3 versoin of ME1 in which case it was only released on download I believe the only way to get a disc version will be buy the trilogy pack.

Thanks for responding. I meant the PC version of the game. I already got ME3, so it's kind of pointless to buy another copy in the Trilogy box. I wouldn't like to get it from Amazon, because I got bad experience with this company. Yeah, it's an old game, but people are still playing it, so why not letting us purchase it in the form we'd like? It's like hitting the wall with your head. The world is fallen - I want to buy a game and I'm unable to. My choice is limited, and I feel forced to buy digital, non existent stuff. Splendid! ... NOT!

The only other option I know of is ebay but the problem here is disc copies have installation codes on them but if that code is used up your not going to get it to work So you may end up wasting your money. Generally I've found Amazon to be OK in general but there you go. The only other option is as you've said is buy it on download

I got mine through Amazon, in the EA value games section. It worked fine in the US, but I am not sure it would work in your region. You can specify the region I suppose, and Amazon has a good return policy. The digital download is $10.00 more than buying the disk.
Go figure.
Best of luck to you.

And with a digital version, you will always have it available for download... even if your PC crashes: game codes though have a history of being lost
and the digital version of ME1 comes with both of its DLC included (unlike M2 and ME3)

I grabbed my disc copy of Mass Effect 1 from eBay many moons ago. It came from Thailand and I had no problem activating it. EA support were great as well when I ran out activations (I was obsessed with reinstalling everything on my PC at one point), giving me a new set of activations.
Personally I would give Amazon another try. I've had the occasional issue with them too but they've always responded well and sorted things out.

Put the code from the disc copies into Origin and you get a digital copy too. Why waste time downloading when you can install from disc.

True enough... you can always redeem a game code, and have a digital copy too - for me it has meant two copies of the ME1 game in my Origins library (one the retail version and the other the digital copy) and as the retail version does not have Pinnacle station, I only play the digital versionPut the code from the disc copies into Origin and you get a digital copy too. Why waste time downloading when you can install from disc.

Not having Pinnacle Station is a bonus to me. I think the combat in the first game is the best of series but boy does Pinnacle Station become a grind.

Pinnacle station was fast and easy once you were geared up. I use it for the store in the apartment, and for gearing up a new character. (And maybe I am a bit of a completionist) There is something nice about having a Geth Pulse Rifle X with 3 slots. For a small amount of cash you could upgrade basically all of your squad with the top of the line gear.
As far as a DLC goes, it isn't really awesome. It feels like it needed more polish. BDTS was much better and fleshed out.

I stopped fighting on a Survival mission when I was about level 40 and went for something to eat. Turned out I'd forgotten to pause and an hour later Shepard was still alive and the team was still killing everything in sight.
The only time Pinnacle Station was a challenge is if you did it near the beginning of the game.
As to buying the item. I just use the command console to give me everything I need.

But..... but, that's cheating!
