In all my time playing multiplayer, I have only used adrenaline rush on one build, and that was as an instant reload button.

So

What am I missing? Is there something else? How do I like this power more?

Explosive ammo? On a disciple? :P

Equip Claymore,

Seriously it's not your standard BSN Claymore cult answer, with re-load cancell and instant re-load through AR you can do massive damage that way.

Yeah I run AR on the male HS with Claymoar for an instant reload/Infiltrator-like damage spike. I don't have anything to add to what Bateman said, pretty much shoot > AR > Shoot > reload cancel > Shoot > Frag, then run go find another spawn

Two ways to play:

As others have said, instant reload Claymore. Tried, true, crazy fun, and tons of damage.

The other, less popular, but more rewarding build is the bonus power BF3 power build. Shoot->AR->Shoot->Carnage (Tech Burst and hides reload)->Frag (Fire Explosion)->Shoot->Repeat. It's a constant stream of damage, complete with tech bursts, fire explosions, tons of armor damage, and it's super satisfying when you get the hang of it. You're squishy, but it's high risk high reward, plus cyclonics make you plenty survivable. Other, braver people will opt for Power Amplifier IV over Cyclonic IV for even more damage.

Reading the OP is so outmoded !  :D

Otherwise, what Disturbed said. For once I agree with the Claymore lovers.

Besides, don't forget that AR also gives a massive boost to weapon damage. Equiping for example a PPR on the human soldier leads to some serious sustained dps, even more that AR can cancel the overheat animation (but doesn't reload the gun).

Well my other favourite with him is the typhoon, just hold the trigger for 20 minutes, the typhoon takes care of the rest

I also did this on my human soldiers for a bit, but after a while (on Xbox anyways) the audio sound bugs out and just gives up. And all that dakka, without actual dakka makes me sad so I stopped.

I use AR when I'm doing weapons challenges. Due to damage boost weaker weapons, mainly uncommons,  are more efficient.

Spec 6 points into Adrenalin Rush (a, b, a) and then crack 6 cans of energy drinks. Enjoy.

Definitely my favorite. Best overhauled power in ME3, bar none.

I am a fan of "oh ****" buttons. AR can function as such with the right spec. DR and one-off shield boost are just as important as damage bonus and reloads. It saves the otherwise squishy human soldier from the "Why bother?" bin. Without it, Human Sentinel is a FAR better weapons platform (And you have two of them, so you can build a biotic boomer AND a weapons dude).

However, I find speccing out of it on the BF3 Soldier to be the best build for him. And the most enjoyable build for basic Human Soldier for me is CS spam (Usually with cryo or incendiary ammo), it is shockingly effective, and AR just gets in the way.

But with AR the soldier gets an extra 700 damage out of claymore and no cooldowns to worry about. I mean technically the sentinel is a better weapons platform if the soldier doesn't carry a gun too but that would be silly.

Please ready my post above on how to wreck with BF3 Soldier and come back and say you're sorry  :D

So. There are no other builds apart from the free reload.

Well I thought of this
http://kalence.drupa...24H53364!F.8GDG

I think the duration of firing the piranha is the same as the adrenaline rush cooldown, so could turn it into an assault rifle shotgun?

But i had forgotten that hvb doesn't have the weightless bug on the piranha.
I can't remember, is it more or less important to have armour piercing on shotguns because of pellets?

But seriously, I honestly don't know!

The only shotguns I use are the Crusader, Graal, and GPS, so I basically don't know pellets from nothin'!

An adrenaline rush specialist puts out more theoretical damage than a devastator-focused destroyer. If you utilize a weapon that doesn't have major accuracy issues the only downside is the smaller mag size which the instant reload function minimizes anyway. There are the gaps between cooldowns where you lose the bonus but I'd argue the superior mobility over the destroyer more than makes up for it. Plus the elemental ammo claymore/bonus power AR BF3 build is stupid fun.

Use it to double-barrel a single shot weapon.
Use it to lay down unending fire with a rapid, high capacity weapon.
Use it to restore shields.
Use it get that extra bit of damage you need to finish off that Atlas.
Use it to make a sandwich.

Adrenaline rush is a versatile ability for a versatile class. Experiment.

Don't take a gun on the sentinel?

How about YOU go try a weapons platform Sentinel.

http://kalence.drupa...13N51384!EF.9GG

That is a bad build, but it is to emphasize a point. Even with a Spitfire and TechArmour, his Warp Cooldown is "only" 10 seconds (A Harrier or PPR would give a little over 4s, meaning almost permenant warp ammo priming), warp isn't for spamming in this build, it is for debuff (and warp ammo trigger) on bosses. This build is tougher than a Soldier (50% DR means basically double the shields and health).

Unless I am running my No-AR BF3 (Which is so much fun), or my CS spam with Cryo ammo, neither of which use AR, then Weapons Sentinel is better choice than Human Solder for weaponry.

Why the human SOLDIER was no passive DR power is beyond me.

Not to hate on your build, but if you want a high damage weapon build sentinel, try the same build as yours, but use a harrier and incendiary ammo. No chance that a soldiers dps is even close in the long run :P

But yes, everybody knows that any Warp user is the best weapons class in the game, for reasons you suggested.

Your math. It's wrong ;)

I'm sorry man, but you're really wrong on this. The HSol is a pretty damn good weapon platform, and absolutely superior to the Sentinel.

But yes, everybody knows that any Warp user is the best weapons class in the game, for reasons you suggested.

Again, this is not true. Not even if you're exploiting the warp-incendiary glitch. Which should say something...

As for the OP... AR works kinda like TC. It gives a helluva bonus to your damage directly. It also gives free reloads, and that's pretty unique, and the reason people tend to focus their builds on that aspect. But you can just as easily use it as you'd use TC and bring pretty much just about any gun to town and see it do a lot more damage. For example, it works awesomely with the harrier because it really helps with its ammo consumption.

U mean "free" magazine means free magazine* ? Never paid attention to that, and that s indeed a very nice 1/3 more ammo on the harrier !!

* when u hit AR U get a full mag without it being substracted from your spare ammo ?

No. He means that each shot does more damage, making the effective damage output of total spare ammo higher. IE: A perma-50% bonus would make 100 ammo seem like 150 ammo (It's not quite this simple, but simple numbers make stuff easier to understand).
