I, for one, am actually content with where we ended with Solas. I suspect, if future games ever do address Solavellan, it won't be a storybook ending (with which I'm also fine).
Lavellan swearing to Solas that she will make him see reason, that says it's not over. Lavellan planning on doing so at the ending, that says it's not over.
Correction: Both are Apostates and clearly up to no good, at the expense of others.
Aww.., this makes me sad
I hope you guys will get the closure (drag him home by his ears if needed be) and get a satisfactory conclusion to your romance come DA4
Sincere support from a fellow mancer(although romancing different toons
)
Really thank you for your support
didn't mean to make you sad.
Don't you think his ears are already long enough? Nah...
That comment: perfection
I really hope to get closure in da4 as well
Thanks for the compliment, much appreciated. ![]()
Leaving us standing here, empty-handed, empty-hearted... no, they can't be that cruel. Hopefully.
This.
The story bonus is the deciding factor for me. Solas is a well-realized character and his romance is good, but on its own it's not exceptional. What happens in Trespasser, that pushes it into the "epic" category. I have no idea where this will be going in future DA games, but if it's as well-made as here, I'll be open for anything.
Me too.
Like you said, it went from "well done" to an emotional stage I feel unable to describe. I'm really hoping for the writers keeping
this high quality level of story making and story telling up.

Feel that passionately about it, huh? Anyway, nothing is guaranteed. I'll be happy if they address it. If by some strange circumstance (or forgetfulness, which has happened before) they do not, then no big deal.
I've always been drawn by intellectual and nerdy people (AHEMMORRIGANAHAEM) so when I met Solas with my cute tol qunari I was so pissed off that I couldn't romance him pfft (I wanted to play as a shy cute qunari for so long and this man appears oh my god why
).
Don't quote me on this one, but I think I've red somewhere that the reason why the writer didn't wrote a wedding scene for Jossie is because it's hard to picture Josephine marrying someone she loves without the pressence of her family.
She really cares about themand from what I've seen so far they really are a warm and loving bunch.
I'd wager you'd need to dedicate a dlc on it's own to do Josephine's wedding any justiceSince going for 'simple' just doesn't seem likely.
At the very least I have strong feelings that her Dad may want to go all out on this occasion.
(Full blown dress for the bride, suitable attire for family, the hairdresser, jewelry, shoes, cakes, rsvps invitations, what's on the menu, does any of the guest have some allergies to certain types of food, and.the.list.just.wont.end)
.. And people complained about 'Bridezilla'
Maybe. Makes sense for not having such a scene during Tresspasser, but not in the epilogue either? ![]()
As for Iron Bull, loud boisterous warriors who are likely untrustworthy spies of those horrid Qun (yeah, not a big fan of that religion/philosophy at all) just don't appeal to me ![]()

Nope, it's common sense. Solas is obvously the antagonist for da4. Creating a new pc to fignt him would be story-weak, because there wouldn't be the bond the inquisitor and Solas created during DAI, being hate, friendship, love. The devs would be stupid to not adress that juicy plot line, let alone give players the option not only to end Solas but to redeem him or whathever you want to with him... it would make more sense to do it with the inquisitor, even if it is not the main character, than with the new pc.
Now, I hope Bio writers don't screw that up... wouldn't be the first time though. I just feel Solas-inquisitor story is not over. Which gives us solamancers hope ![]()
I voted for Sera.. funny thing I romanced her in my 1st playtrough and totally disliked it (the romance, not Sera) to the extent that I restarted that playthrough and chose another romance. After a while I realized that perhaps the problem was not the romance itself but the character that I was playing that didn't really fit it.
After a while I tried to romance her again with a different character and I found myself liking her more than any other romance...
My vote on first playthrough is Iron Bull. No questions. Not for kink, but because he' s fabulous -- funny, brilliant, insightful, generous, caring, supportive, ferocious with enemies and with supporting allies. He always sees the weak points -- in a lovely way, in a chilling way. He knows what people want. He's the lug nobody pays attention to who understands EVERYTHING. I adore him.
So -- Iron Bull is my favorite character of any game, ever. And he was a great choice for romancing by my elf Inquisitor (at first I was going for a kind of "Beauty and the Beast" motif (I had crafted a deliberately princessy Inquisitor) but honestly? By 25% I was like, "Oh my God I LOVE YOU LET HER FLIRT WITH YOU!" Of course it took me DOZENS OF HOURS to follow to prove to him that she was worth it. Hilarious but maddening.
Iron Bull for the win, man. I don't even think I could romance anyone else in other playthroughs, no matter how hot Cullen might be (I'm not made of stone, people...)...

Ah, the twice repeated phrase and emboldened text made it easy to interpret your tone as more concerned than perhaps you intended. At any rate, I don't disagree that it's not over. Just not bothered if it is

Hahaha sorry then, I just like to be dramatic writing posts sometimes, because of, you know, sudden inspiration xD
Though I'm guilty of having my Quizzies romance Dorian in most playthroughs (he's a charming bastard XD) , I voted for Cullen. Saccharine sweet in most scenes, but his adorkability makes me grin. ![]()

Yep, egg for the masses, The WALL for the refined. ![]()
I want to add something to my vote:
Interesting tat so many people like the Solas romance since it is so heartbreaking and all.
I initially would have voted for the Iron Bull romance, since I liked it so much in the base game. However, the trespasser DLC really seemed to ship Dorian and IB and I have really nothing against the pairing. It is only that this ship has so much content and and the player romance seems neglected by comparison. I could not help but feel that my character stood in the way of true love, rather that experiencing it for herself. Needless to say my enjoyment of the IB romance is now somewhat lessend.
Oh well, I guess I just have to find another romance ![]()

Yeah, well, even if it's sad there's the emotional struggling on Solas part. And the fact that he's a god (kinda) and it ties with the story. Which is, in short, what hooked us Solamancers. ![]()
Also, me waiting for DA4:

I vote for Solas.
Cullen for me (That kiss

Curious, have you actually played the Dorian romance with Trespasser? I don't think the comparison holds up for the Dorian half of it, particularly as you phrase it as having "so much more content." I think that part of the reason for the difference with the IB player romance is that Bull himself can have so many varied outcomes that they didn't want to give that one NPC too much content in the DLC.
But I completely understand the feeling for reasons I'm not going to get into in this thread.
However I'm sure there are other Bull fans who were just fine with what they got, so YMMV as they say.
[edit]
Another way to look at it is that, in another universe, Bull uses Dorian for two years and betrays him utterly. So it certainly wasn't "true love" there. They're all different worlds, really.
