Xbox360 DAO-DA2 Keep xfer to PS4... issues.

I was just told by an EA phone rep that it is not possible to use the keep to continue my Dragon Age experience on the Playstation 4.

Is this accurate? If so: why is this so, and what then is the point of the keep?  My problem is also exacerbated by the fact that i started playing the xbox360 about 5 months ago as i got one used that came with DA2.

Xbox made me use a Microsoft Hotmail email account, which i do not use for my main Bioware games (ME for 5-6 years). Since they cannot technically merge my ea account (wtf why not, another issue for them to resolve, not waiting around for that though). Anyway, I have a gamertag on a hotmail account that is associated with that particular email, and my playstation systems that are set-up for my main email account.

All I want to do is upload my world state to DAI on PS4, this data is configurable on the Keep site, but i have my Heroes name, image/look on the Microsoft account as well.  I was told that data is not accessible cross platform...  It's just toggle Yes/No or 'Choose A, B, or C'.  Simple database information that should have no problem once established in the Keep system, being then sent/imported to any same game database system. The avatar image is just a thumbnail, and if i'm not playing my Warden or hero...  their character personality choices info is not necessary

Why is this? Can i get a technical description explaining this because honestly it really just seems to me the phone reps and their' specialists' have no clue about technology and would rather come up with a nonsensical response than learn more about what they are trying to support.

Any info would be appreciated.

btw, I posted here before about just moving my Xbox info to my main account, but that apparently wasn't implemented to be possible.  How could any designer of this system not foresee such issues? Or was it just EA being cheap again and not willing to pay to have it developed...

Hi there! Sorry to hear about your experience. You may find a solution to your problem here: http://help.ea.com/e...origin-account/

If that doesn't solve your issue, please let me know.

I'm still fighting this and really cannot understand why it is so difficult to make work.  I can send a friend request to my other account, but... how do I accept it?  I really want to play this tonight/this weekend but it's still failing to work. I cannot add friend on the origin PC app as it gives me an error message about duplicate IDs on wrong account or some such.

I can send a friend request in the Keep but all that does is send me a notification that the other account sent a request.  when i click on the notification it takes me to the friend tab which sits empty...    This is definitely broken or never made functional as of yet.   I mean i can keep banging away and try to send requests, but after the first one, it just returns error messages

uh, can you also explain what the media library is and how i'd add a screenshot as this form will not let me post a jpg, yet does not explain how to upload to the 'media library' which i cannot find anywhere and a search turns up nothing, zero explanation.

I went back to the Keep and it somehow had my request added... ok so that's done, only took me 3 weeks and 2 useless calls to EA support who had ZERO clue about how the Keep is supposed to/does work.  The guy on the phone said it was IMPOSSIBLE to share cross console platform.. i knew this was possible as it's a simple database share that should be the same regardless of hardware.

You guys really should get your processes streamlined before Mass Effect Andromeda.  Probably should hire me to actually give you a comprehensive breakdown of what is broken/fails and then actually hire people to make it work as originally envisioned.  I like the ideas, but the implementation is terribad.   I mean who exactly is quality control testing this stuff and who is checking off the box that says everything is ready to go live??????

really... you guys aren't broke, make some great games, so how is it there are so many rough edges in places???  things like the Mass effect 3 Multiplayer which is the most fun i've had to date in a multiplayer since playing Ultimate Tournament 2004 survival modded servers, yet the loading times are the crappiest, the lobby system is STILL broken and poorly designed as when a leader leaves it kicks all players out of the lobby, then back to ridiculous load times,,,   I love the creative parts but i swear the production quality in places is seriously crappy, and when you got EA behind you.. it's no wonder.. but at the same time.. they CAN afford to make sure things work properly, and yet... the Keep is like a half-awake, drunk pilot, you need the pilot to get where you want to go, but you're crashing into everything on the way.

Can you explain why the world-state i share loses the names of my Warden and Hero?  it seems to put in default characters and not import MY characters..  i am going to check the world state.. but the thumbnail images of my Warden and Hero are gone... and these are the shared state that actually has my original characters..

Ignore the media gallery on the forums. It doesnt work.

When you're sharing worldstates you don't share the characters so the keep uses the default based on class and everything else. However you can rename the default characters and add a custom image for them. By heading to the hero page and clicking the pencil icon on a selected hero.

No idea why the EA rep made you make a new account seeing as they can merge them. All you needed to do was add your psn id to your existing EA account.

I too am a 360 to PS4 user and for some reason it won't import my world state. Apparently if I had a PS3 save it would have been fine, but I personally don't see why it should matter when all the information it reads are the saves you have made via the EA cloud. I have also had this general issue with importing my world state on 360 anyway. :(
