I was just told by an EA phone rep that it is not possible to use the keep to continue my Dragon Age experience on the Playstation 4.
Is this accurate? If so: why is this so, and what then is the point of the keep? My problem is also exacerbated by the fact that i started playing the xbox360 about 5 months ago as i got one used that came with DA2.
Xbox made me use a Microsoft Hotmail email account, which i do not use for my main Bioware games (ME for 5-6 years). Since they cannot technically merge my ea account (wtf why not, another issue for them to resolve, not waiting around for that though). Anyway, I have a gamertag on a hotmail account that is associated with that particular email, and my playstation systems that are set-up for my main email account.
All I want to do is upload my world state to DAI on PS4, this data is configurable on the Keep site, but i have my Heroes name, image/look on the Microsoft account as well. I was told that data is not accessible cross platform... It's just toggle Yes/No or 'Choose A, B, or C'. Simple database information that should have no problem once established in the Keep system, being then sent/imported to any same game database system. The avatar image is just a thumbnail, and if i'm not playing my Warden or hero... their character personality choices info is not necessary
Why is this? Can i get a technical description explaining this because honestly it really just seems to me the phone reps and their' specialists' have no clue about technology and would rather come up with a nonsensical response than learn more about what they are trying to support.
Any info would be appreciated.
btw, I posted here before about just moving my Xbox info to my main account, but that apparently wasn't implemented to be possible. How could any designer of this system not foresee such issues? Or was it just EA being cheap again and not willing to pay to have it developed...
