There is even a thread I started long ago before forum/BSN changed into this new version. Why can't I post there?
Also, why doesn't it display my ME1 icon on my owned games?
Cannot post on Lobby (off-topic) section and other issues

As for ME1, apparently you need to register it in Origin. If you don't have a PC version, dunno.

Bioware closed down The Lobby indefinitely(has been closed since late August). I'd very much like it back but they seem set in their mind that its closure will improve the forum. I don't get it. No one does.
As far as ME1 is concerned, do you have a physical copy for the Xbox 360 like I do? If so, you won't get your icon;ME1 was released before EA acquired Bioware and thus there is no system set up to track ownership of it. If you have it on PC you should be fine though, just register it as you would normally register a Bioware game.
Though perhaps ME1 must be registered on the old forum? Not quite sure. I can't register it anyway so I don't have a clue.

The Lobby is locked? That's weird. Must be some kind of bug. I'm sure it'll be sorted out soon.

I have ME1 registered in Origin. Profile says that any game I play while logged on (I assume that starting it via Origin qualifies) will show. "Updated every 180 minutes"... I went for a nap and left ME running (via Origin) and nothing... lol. 'Tis ok though. I would like it to show all my BW games but then, it should include BG, BG2, NWN, etc. =))
PS.: We're not allowed to use banners in out signature anymore? Why? Has BW sanitized everything? Every game forum and any other forum I know allow banners on signature, as long as they're not against the terms of service or offensive. *sighs*

Can a moderator#1,2,3,4,5,6 etc (man, I miss those badass mod names from old BSN) please teach me how to add my ME1 icon to my registered games? It shows on Origin client, I've played well over 180 minutes through Origin client and it still do not show...

It looks like your account had a different version of ME1 that we didn't have in our list. I've added it now so it should show up next time you log in. Let me know if it doesn't.
Thanks a lot. It worked. It is a digital version I bought through EA store in 04/10/2010 along with ME2. I think ME2 registered ok because of the "Register Games" section of old BSN. There was no option for ME1 then. Thanks again.

I turned that off, I can always turn it back on if people found it useful.
It was nice being able to drop down once in a while, between threads & catch up some. Read some good stories. I understand if it wasn't getting a whole lot of attention there though, pretty far to scroll down for where most people are in the forum. I was just a little curious. Thank you

We had a fun pool system going on for FIFA world cup in 2010. The thread is still there and continued as a place for football (the real one, played with the feet) fans to discuss it. I was away during the World Cup 2014 in Brazil and I must say gladly. Else I'd be covered in shame with that 1x7 against Germany! Ouch! =}
I feel that the new forums didn't manage to bring all the old users of BSN along? I hope I'm wrong.

When the forum switched from the BSN to what it is now, not everyone came over. Natural to expect that not everyone is gonna enjoy the changes so some bailed.
And with OT's closure quite a few forum regulars dipped out and have stopped contributing, instead using another forum as a go-to. In my case I only use the BSN these days to voice my displeasure with decisions like this now. That and I continue to occasionally PM a friend. Otherwise, I went from posting every single day to barely posting at all.
With my lack of income preventing me from getting games I haven't played Inquisition's latest DLCs nor do I have a reason to follow Andromeda given I probably won't be able to get it anyway. Seriously, friends of mine and friends of friends of mine have bought me a few games over the last few years because of financial struggles. I can't bother getting hyped about games I can't get. My dedication towards Bioware's products has necessarily dwindled.
But Off Topic kept me involved with Bioware for news and updates I could discuss with the community. I could contribute in a roundabout way, like my Discover Andromeda:The Actual Galaxy thread that if you could tell from the likes given to the OP was very much appreciated. That thread only came about because of the Space thread I made in Off Topic, and that thread only came about because of Fast Jimmy's thread on the EM Drive that was also located in Off Topic.
And guess what. All three threads, the two in Off Topic and the one in the Andromeda section, are all dead.
Just like my positivity in regards to this place.

How can BioWare still look at themselves in the mirror after making their #1 poster this sad for over three months?
That sort of behavior should definitely be banned.

I have not noticed man-giraffe-dog for a while...
I disappeared for months due to the combination of the extra hoops to jump through, my disappointments over Dragon Age II and Mass Effect 3 (both were good but not up to Bioware's previous standards), and my annoyance at Bioware's attitude (which doesn't seem to have improved since ..so don't be surprised if I disappear again).
I only came back because of my enjoyment of Dragon Age: Inquisition.
Unfortunately, I am an offline console gamer and it seems that Bioware hates customers who buy their games in shops but don't play online or buy dlc - so I have lost my icons for Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age Origins, Dragon age origins-Awakening, Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition and Dragon Age II - all of which still sit in my games collection along with with Star Wars:KOTOR, Jade Empire, Dragon Age Inquisition, Mass Effect 3 and 2 copies of Mass Effect.
I would buy another copy of Mass Effect 2, 3, Dragon Age Inquisition and even Dragon Age II if they released it with the dlc or disc but Bioware don't want my money any more and so show no sign of doing so...
I think Bioware closed the off-topic because it was filled with people talking about ponies and Bioware wanted them to complain about the ending of Mass Effect 3 instead

following on from my previous post - One thing that bothers me is the restrictions on where I can post.
It is especially frustrating to post a comment on a Mass Effect 3 thread and then edit it only to find I can't save the edit because the thread had just been moved to a spoiler board while I was typing - and they don't allow me to post on spoiler threads..
I bought a new, legal copy of the game from a shop, I have played the game (offline) and still have the game - I am a paying customer of Bioware but Bioware blocks me like this.
Why does Bioware treat their paying customers like this?

You can take the CD key from Steam and add it to Origin. That should register it the backend system that we check.

You only need to play while connected to EA's service once. I've gone into more detail in the past about why we took this approach but basically it wasn't feasible to keep doing it the old way using CD keys and UPC codes.

How could you be an offline gamer if you obviously were able to post here?
Lots of people have internet. Can't just expect everyone to hold back because of that.

I just had to laugh.
It dawned on me that my only interaction with Bio-devs these days is on Twitter, where occasionally we'll talk about some random thing or other.
Things that aren't Bioware related.
Off Topic things.
Ha. Hahahaha
