They actually said they were going to delete all Off-Topic groups. Or, at least, Jessica Merizan said as such, back when she was the community manager. That was about a year and a half ago now, and an old group of mine is still there. Long abandoned, mind you, as when that declaration was made, we loaded up our arks and went off-site to a forum privately-hosted by one of our main group founders.

 

I'd expect groups to be detonated at some point, definitely. I find it odd The Lobby got the axe before them, though. When they made the group deletion announcement, I figured The Lobby was doomed.

I'd expect groups to be detonated at some point, definitely. I find it odd The Lobby got the axe before them, though. When they made the group deletion announcement, I figured The Lobby was doomed.

I'm assuming you're talking about the Shelter, yay those in charge of it now had no hand in forming that original group on the old BSN. It was mine till it wasn't, founded it with a few old close pals from here. Changed hands when it went offsite, don't know if they post in there anymore tbh, but yunno details. I could have let this post go but something urked me enough to respond to it.

Sorry about that, you are correct. The one hosting it was not an original founder. I was confusing him with the Behind the Monitor group, which he founded and from which a lot of people ended up coming over into The Shelter from.

 

I'll blame old age for that brain fart.

 

Hope you have happy holidays as well, Crimson. Miss you. And Jeremiah. And others. But especially you two.

I'm sorry, that place may have started with good intentions, but now it's reduced to a circle jerk in that half a dozen people post and try to navigate the sea of attention whoring of only TWO people who seem to have hijacked the entire forum for themselves. 

 

That place is not welcoming AT ALL.

Well, the issue between you in particular and the Lobby far predates the creation of the VSN. 

Buddy, the Lobby had serious issues with its users, and your hole for bums got the worst of them. That's why I should have lasted some time in the Lobby, if it would have got at least a nice kick-ban for a bunch of the residents, and this is why I'm not coming back to that social abomination of yours, scum.
