Bioware team,

Thank you for the clarifying information, and moreso for placing it in an "easy to find" area of the forum.

I can only speak for myself, but I believe others will agree that the lack of ( easily attainable ) official scoop has been the biggest dissapointment throughout the rash of RtO related hiccups. Glad to see that we'll have forthcoming issues of the "Community Update" available on a regular basis.

Keep up the good work folks. Looking forward to expansions, additional content ( dlc ), ect...

They are unable to post an official date I imagine because they are waiting for things to pass microsofts certification. It seems the main time delay has to do with not being allowed to release the expansion for PC until it has been released on xbox. I hope the amount of money being payed by microsoft is worth the customer dissatisfaction.

There is a bug fix for the 360 users..coming soon,  I imagine once  the update is finished going through certification..which from what Victor stated yesterday should be soon.  Also if you're interested there is some information from one of the Bioware CEOs on the PC gamer site, re their plans for the future and what happened to cause all this kafuffle.    It kind of clarifies things..so if you're interested have a look. :)

Thanks for the update Victor, huge fan of Bioware and love the games. Alot. I also truly applaud your efforts and agree that one key issue is indeed the lack of dialog which you are addressing.

To be honest, due to lack of organization I have been going to a third-party site to find updates - a centralized mode of communication that then disseminates via now commonplace social networking-esque mechanisms would be helpful.

But the other BIG problem and elephant in the room is the lack of any concrete details. I understand with your role it is difficult to pass on any facts, but we all know that there are always deadlines. Specifically, there is a deadline that is being targeted internally for re-release. Now you can give us that deadline, or more realistically, give us that number +5 business days and it will still be better than "soon" or "very soon."

It is probably time to give your VP Marketing / Customer Retention people a poke about the amount of displeasure/annoyance coming up the pipe. A firm and sincere apology and new release date(s) will probably go a long way in soothing ruffled feathers.

They have announced each time they closed a long thread re: this situation..its because its redundant ( in other words there is a new thread open addressing the same subject)  so therefore not needed.

After the previous events with RtO, it's not surprising that they won't give an exact release date...

They stated in the blue bioware tag on this thread that, once certification is over and done with..we should see the Dlc released on the PC and 360  within a day or two of certification being over with ..don't remember what they said about the PS3...think thats a little while later.

Which of course delays us who own a PS3 from ever getting it.  I hate this exclusive time released crap.

From Victor's OP here, it seems that the only issues being fixed are Achievements (which, frankly, I, and I think most RPG fans, couldn't care less about) and the associated Specialization bug that was introduced during the "unexpected" RtO window. And from the bullet points, it's my impression that this is all that's being addressed, at least in this particular update.

I know they've acknowledged the gameplay bugs in the past (near release, even), but I haven't seen anything lately, though it's definitely possible that I could have missed something. Are there any recent posts or links you could point us console players to, if they've addressed this already?

Very true and correct, but do not underestimate the power of 50 thousand 9 year old xbox users who need their gamertag updating :)

Just going on my memory..they specifically mentioned this bug fix will address the corrupted saves.

So what so special about 360 users that they get a thread all to themselves and everyone else is ignored?

Perhaps because the bug was first found on the XBox? It's much easier to fix bugs on the PC, tho...

PC first, find bugs, patch them, THEN release on Consoles.

There are alot of 360 users?

Why there are is beyond me.  The X-Box has always been a piece of junk but hey to each their own.

But the real point is that Bioware likes simultaneous releases so we will wait for them to fix the X-Box problem.  I have no issue with that.
