Two things I'm not a big fan of:

1) Being Human centered story AGAIN? Why just humanity quest for a new home and not all Council Races? I want to play as a member of an inter-species organization and not like the NOT-Alliance.

2) Cerberus ships. Just NO! I'm so tired of this s.hit! Just invent new enemies or don't bother making new games! I'm so tired of them and their ideas.

Well now let's hope these info are just a big lie.

I am not all defending Cerberus, but I am curious as to who you think is more formidable in comparison.

Well someone who isn´t a complete idiot, getting saved by the "power of the narrative" or plot shields on the invincible level? The Citadel coup as written, was unbelievable bs, even the basic plan made no sense. Their research experiments are risky and moustache twirling evil for the lulz. TIM´s whole plan for the mission against the Collector is a mess because the writers forgot, that the whole plan was based on fourth wall breaking. Every time you encountered Kai Leng, he was  total wimp, until he got the power of the cutscene to turn you into a drooling moron, letting the player watch as Shep turned into someone with the intelligence and aim of a random mook from Arrow or a SW stormtrooper. Every higher up in the Cerberus ranks is a total sell out who spills the beans as soon as you imprison them (I give the the dignity of death, even in pure paragon, these deluded fools).

Oh my, the guys you meet are an intel agent who thinks it´s a bright idea to break free in front of three armed people, some corporal styling himself as the cliché of a general, who taunts you with "this time our control over these highly dangerous creatures will hold" (we see how that turned out on Horizon, when the Reapers actually bother to take back their toys), a dude who wears a stupid mask and a grudge because daddy loves Shep more than him. And last but not least, TIM, who tries to impress his doc wth no anesthetics for this invasive surgery close to his head(where flinching would probably lead to a miscut and ehm complications, bleeding out or brain matter on the floor).

Yeah they did some impressive stunts when they showed up but most of the time, it left you in a befuddled state why and how it´s possible that these guys are actually showing up there.

And even if all that changed and their roster wasn´t something out of a cartoon and their plots actually formidable, they were still unable to execute their own agenda but worked for an enemy with a completely contrary agenda. It´s not even like "ups, we fell into a very sinister trap laid by our enemy" but "ah yeah we totally do it, even if it makes no sense, because we are unwitting , indoctrinated pawns and everyone with a brain already left."

So no superior foe for comparison then?

Funny, they did that with the Collectors and people complained about them too...

Honestly...this is basically reaffirming some things. The one bit that I am surprised about is the story revolves around "finding a home"

I guess the ark stuff is correct, if this bit of the rumor is true.

Also, I kind of expected a human antagonist to be involved; hopefully my theory of picking sides between humanity and non-humans is a possibility.

Ehhh the human antagonist will be probably the next NOT-Illusive man, humanity-first a-hole. Though this is what you can expect with Mac.....I still cannot believe after what we achieved in the Reaper Wars and the Unity we got in that conflict there are still human supremacists around. Burn them all.

Skeletor from Masters of the Universe? In one of the remakes he was actually decent. Most Disney villains? :P Most antagonistic organisations who are not unwitting pawns to beings contrary to their own agenda?

I didn´t pick them for sheer awesomeness but better than Cerberus is a low bar. ^_^

I would surmise it would be more complex than that, unless BioWare plays it safe.

Chances are they will of course...but here is hoping.

Mass Effect is about humans. So Andromeda is consistent with that theme.

Now, about Cerberus:

Honestly. if Cerberus is in the picture, then both the writers and the game's Creative Director have unloaded a huge and strongly perfumed turd. There is no creativity left.

I'm of the opinion, however, that it was put in there to generate discussions and speculations as we are doing now..... it's called marketing.

A blonde female? Me like.....

tumblr_ln56fiHFg11qf5u97.gif

I wouldn't get your hopes up.  Bioware will likely change her to better satisfy the feminists.  She will actually be a redhead at launch.  We can't have any of those blondies clogging up the screen with their airheadedness and "better check your privilege" aesthetics.  /s

I think the lack of blonde hair has more to do with how it shows up any limitations the engine has in rendering hair... or the limitations of the artist that created that hair. Either way it never really looked that good in Mass Effect.

edit: Are people really still railing against feminists? I honestly thought we were done with all that nonsense.

If you meant to post about Bioware moving away from stereotypes, redhead isn't the way to go. It's rd hair, not blonde, that's associated with promiscuity and sex.

Hey, im one of the mods at /r/masseffect.

Just reminding you all that you really shouldn't be mad at anyone for this since there is a fairly good chance its all completely made up. We did try to get that message across, but some people still feel the need to get angry at Bioware about the things discussed.

The /r/MassEffect mods decided to make this public because the source of the information provided hard proof that he was legitimate. The information itself may be a whole bunch of lies however. We had no way of verifying that. He may have been telling the truth, he may well have not been. Who knows. All we did was pass on the information that we were presented with. Hell, I even find some of the things in the video hard to believe.

Treat this as you treated the survey leak. As an unsubstantiated rumor.

I mean from the Mass Effect universe.

Hm, diificult. Screwing up is pretty standard operating procedure for all major factions like selling out to the Reapers so they get eaten last like the Geth.

And yet the one redhead LI is the only LI in the Shepard Trilogy where sex isn't a mandatory part of the romance.

But they should have a blond character, as a companion and/or LI. They haven't had a single one yet in Mass Effect.

Doesn't really sound very credible to me at all. Most of it was recycled information we already know or straightforward deductions from that information. If he really had seen an early version of the game he would surely be able to tell us one hell of a lot more than he did. I'm perfectly willing to believe leaks if they sound credible, I believed in the survey leak straight away for instance, but this one doesn't feel genuine to me.

I know this wasn't directed at me, but the Collectors are much more formidable and competent in comparison to Cerberus.
