I know awhile back I said I would never return to these forums, but I have been wanting to discuss some issues related to Inquisition that has me Mad & has me straching my head also.

I have played & finished Inquisition Multiple Times since Day 1, recently upgraded my PS3 Inquisition to the PS4 Version since I finally upgraded to the PS4 Console.

You can easily tell Inquisition was not meant to be played or be made onto Gen 7 Consoles the game is nearly unplayable & completely Broken on Gen 7.

Thankfully I am glad I upgraded, & immediately I noticed big time changes between the Gens, Hopefully Dragon Age 4 will have nothing to hold it back & will be a better game specially in terms of Graphics. No more Gen 7 holding it back.

Onto my issues I am Mad about.

1st Deal - Inquisition's GOTY Edition. Does Bioware Actually know what it means to be Ultimate version or a GOTY Edition on a Disc. Do they understand that Concept.

GOTY Means All DLC Content Physically onto a Disc examples Borderlands Trilogy, Batman Games, DA Origins Ultimate, etc.

Why Bioware opted to give us DLC Vouchers is beyond me, & to me this is utterly Useless since I am in a Dead-Zone & I am unable to do DLC Content, Patches or anything.

We depend on Ultimate & GOTY Editions & hope these have DLC Content on a Physical Disc. But Bioware kicks us with no Onine Access in the Nuts & say sorry here is your DLC Vouchers.

If I wanted a DLC Voucher I would have just Purchased each Inquisition DLC Seperated normally.

2nd Deal - Dragon's Keep. While this is an innovative system. It is still a broken & incomplete system that lacks Features.

Simpler Ways can be done to utilize the DA Keep System. Example - Save Keep World State onto a USB Flash Drive - Create your World State on the Keep Site.

Then in the Options Plug in a USB Flash Drive - Save Keep World State onto Flash Drive. This could  then be transfered & Uploaded onto the 5 Consoles via USB Flash Drive - NO ONLINE NEEDED.

Instead of Always Connecting to Dragon Age Servers the Inquisition Disc would then instead read your USB Flash Drive then Upload via Flash Drive.

This is also a neat idea mainly for those such as myself & many others who live in DEAD-ZONEs we can instead do it via USB Flash Drive.

Mainly these 2 Deals are what I am most passionate about concerning Inquisition. & Sadly they will never get Solved or Resolved.

So cause of that I will likely never ever Purchase GOTY Inquisition. due to DLC not on Physical Disc.

Also those who say they did that due to Size of DLCs. This also is an easy fix. make a 3rd B-Ray for DLC Content, Gear, Weapons & MP DLCs. Inquisition on Current would be 2 Discs being 1 For the game & another for DLC Content.

BAM !! PROMBLEM SOLVED & FIXED. or sell DLC Disc for 19.99 Seperated Deal.

Of course this deal would be Current Only PS4, X1, PC.

Last night I fired up Inquisition after about 3 weeks of not playing it. I was greeted by a prompt to validate the game again with Internet access. It worked, and now that prompt doesn't come up for the time being, but that is still really annoying. So if I stop playing for a while, I'll have to revalidate the game I bought in order to play it? What if lose Internet access? This is just rude to customers. As is selling a GotY edition with all DLC content at a discount after early fans bought everything piecemeal. I was one of the ones who pre-ordered, and all I got for doing so were some crappy low level weapons.

Is this prompt supposed to deter piracy?  I've noticed that if I'm playing a game that I have downloaded (and I have a few because I can't always get a physical copy) if I don't have internet access after about 15 minutes of being cut off it says the game will be suspended as the licence cannot be verified.  That really annoys me, it's happened with DOS, LiS and now FO4.  Usually it's a reset to the router but of course it means if I have no internet access for whatever reason, I can't play.  Same with a disc (I have DAI on disc), If I have no internet I can't even load the save game.  Sucks.

Seriously? I don't think I've ever encountered that problem before. But then again my consoles are connected to the internet. Shite.. as I'm moving soon and will be without internet for a while, this is gonna suck MileyChicken if it happens to me.

Yup, it does and that's why I have mobile and satellite broadband and yeah my PS4 is connected to the (irish potato) internet.  I would kill for cable but I doubt they'll be putting that down any time soon around here.

This is bullshit. Oh well, at least my PC has billions of games installed that can be played OFFLINE.

DAI can be played offline. You just can't play multiplayer, use the Keep or, the Golden Nug offline and, you have to start with the default world state but, then you can enable Trials in options after you load into the starting zone.

I too have satellite internet so, that means metered bandwidth and, the need to be cautioujs about how much I use the internet. I wait until near the end of my cycle and, if I have the bandwidth I do updates and, get DLC or any other dowloads I want then. I can handle a few hours at slower than dial up speed for using too muich now and then.

All about managements of what you can get. Satellite beats 24K dial up that fails every time it rains or gets below freezing. At least it takes a heavy storm to cause my satellite to loose signal and, it is a 3mb, fairly fast (150kbps) download) connection as long as I have bandwidth left to use. Use it all and, I can't even load most web pages but, that's where I can manage my usage and time that to get what I need or want without making it a major inconvenience to me for long.

I have to agree with you on the topic of how rough it plays on 360/PS3. After playing it on my buddy's PS4 it was like a whole new world just was opened up.

You can certainly, if you don't have any of the DLC's including the BE.  It just won't recognize that these have been downloaded and installed even thought they are physically on my hard drive, same for TW3 now I come to think of it.  It won't load the save game, at least it won't load mine and I know a few others have the same issue.  I thought I'd solved it by unchecking the 'share user data' in the options, but no.  You can disconnect the internet once the game is loaded though, although this doesn't work for full games I've downloaded which apparently requires me to be connected so it can constantly authenticate the licence!

He could be German -- they have different capitalization rules.

Edit: Nah... he's not following those rules either. I think you were right. It's random.

This would be a money loser for them, I think. There just aren't enough gamers in dead zones.

I find the download code to be an annoyance but it doesn't make me angry. I just upgraded to an Xbox One and so I bought the GOTY version of Inquisition. The annoyance part for me is that when the last download is done it will have taken 36 hours to download the content because of my internet speeds. I understand why they do it the way they do though. From a strictly business perspective it is much more cost effective for them to do this than to have more discs made with extra content. In the end it really is all about that bottom line.

Probably. Thinking more about it, this prompt could have been due to it being the one year anniversary since I installed the game. Maybe it's automatic based on that. But yeah, I usually play DA:I offline, and for whatever reason it asked for another validation that one time.

Ha!  It seems I have today, finally found out why I couldn't play offline.  Due to PSN being down for maintenance, as usual I couldn't access FO4.  However, an error message came up informing me that if I activate my PS4 as the primary PS4, I can then play without a connection.  Well, I couldn't activate it immediately (PSN offline), but have since done it and that seems to have been the trick.  Finally!  Woo hoo!

Activating a system

The first time you sign in to PlayStation™Network, you normally select whether you want to activate the system. To activate the system after you first sign in, select [PlayStation™Network/Account Management] > [Activate as Your Primary PS4] > [Activate].
