The story will be about a pathfinder for a new home. But for what exactly? Reapers? Or just to satisfy the desire of exploring a new frontier? Why not an another part of the MW since we've only touched 0.00001% or even less story-wise about MW.!

And if it was an "ark" to escape the probable unfortunate fate of the MW, why there is no way back for the characters if the MW somehow survived?

Will the characters speak about their original planets and about the MW or not? I can't find it in my heart and mind for those characters to never touch this subject since they are a MW species.

Will they even be longing for their original homes? Will they even try to wonder what is going on there and try to race back to it?

May be the story is about losing connection or trying to find a way back to the MW so they can know what happened there?

For me, I can't even imagine the story doesn't even try to touch the subject of the MW status. I really want to know what the writers are thinking about because this is like driving blind waiting for sh** to hit the fan.

None of that is a plot hole. Just questions we can't answer until we know the plot and/or play the game.

That's why I said they are waiting to happen. Because there is no way around it unless some space magic happened and made everyone lose their memories.

And it shouldn't ! Even story-wise it shouldn't.

But no one ever said they're not gonna mention the Milky Way? Just have them leave before the Crucible is activated and they can mention any past events all they want without touching the endings. Basically all your questions can be answered in a logical way without creating plot holes. The only potential plot hole I can think of is how they got to Andromeda in the first place.

The pilot got a little bit drunk and took a wrong turn?

Ehhh they will probably throw you there a quick explanation cutscene in the first 5-10 minutes of the game telling you why we were sent to Andromeda and then nobody will ever mention the Milky Way again. This is what I think it's going to happen.

the game is supposed to take place a very long time after ME3, at least 200 years I'm guessing. People nowadays don't talk about what happened in 200 years ago in 1815; it was at least 7 generations ago. After time goes by certain things tend to get lost in history; history becomes legend. I think we will just hear what the people in the ark consider to be legend/fairy tales that occured a long time ago.

We don't have enough data about how travelling to Andromeda works to say. There are several ways to make this work. Forinstance, the intergalactic ship relied on a drive technology from a previous cycle. We don't really understand it and can't build more, so there's only the one unit. Or we came through a one-way wormhole, or a two-way wormhole that was destroyed so the Reaoers couldn't find out ehere it went. And so on.

Doctor Smith sabotaged the ship

We're going to trust yet more ancient, untested and poorly understood technology?   <_<

Somewhat better.  But still a contrivance.  And that N7 day thing sure made it look like we're taking standard FTL

Wow, that was a weird site glitch. Anyone else seen that before?

Anyway, my response was:

We've been doing that since ME1. Why stop now? :P

You know those schlubs will end up forgetting, especially once you get into a few generations or so. They'll be like the people of WALL-E, thinking that there were farms where people grew pizza.

Milky Way is outside the scope of this game, hence the name Mass Effect: Andromeda.

This is the reason why I think you're going there.

Or what you will only buy 5 copies of ME Andromeda? Dude, every game has plot holes. They never really matter but it is weird to see someone create their own plotholes for a game yet to be released.

Don't worry, we'll use the plot holes as drop in points for our MP sessions in your pathetic SP playthrough.

I have to go a bit further since I headcannon the entire ending in which Shepard realized detonating the crucible in such close proximity to Earth would annihilate it and chose to make the ultimate sacrifice for the betterment of the galaxy.  A replica of planet Earth sits next to the Krogan Memorial.  Of course none of the chickens who ran off to Andromeda to save their own skin would know about it.

I never said I would do anything... I said they better so they can make a greater story.

I'm not a whiny "New-Age gamer", believe it or not.
