I read recently from some of you here that you would hate to see Cerberus in Andromeda.

Does the same hold true for the rest of the enemy factions?

As much as I love Cerberus, I don't want them to return for Andromeda. But I'm sure depending where in the timeline, The Illusive Man can't pass up the opportunity to set up operations in a new Galaxy.

Also, please no Blue Suns, Eclipse, and Bloodpack.  No returning enemy factions, unless it makes sense to the storyline.

Now that you mention it, I think those gangs might still be very active, as they were never a priority to eliminate.

Besides, what are credit hungry Krogan mercs and Vorcha going to do with their spare time anyway?

Same can be said for corrupt Asari, Humans, Salarians and Turians.

I think it would be interesting to see Cerberus again. I wasn't much of a fan of the Blue Suns unless Zaeed was telling the story of how he founded them, the Blood Pack can burn in the Milky Way with the Reapers. I think the Eclipse would be cool to see again, a couple of them smuggling Red Sand to Andromeda and a Volus accidentally taking some and becoming a Biotic God.

I was a Cerberus guy once into they were constantly shoved down my throat. Oh and TIM pulled that bs with the Turian ship.

Really don't want to see them return.

No Cerberus, none of the merc groups and no Alliance (highly unlikely but whatever).

Which reminds me, rest in peace to Robin Sachs, Zaeed's voice actor. He did an excellent job.

None. No Cerberus, no Reapers, no merc groups.

If BioWare truly want a clean slate then the move to Andromeda should feel more like a new start rather than a cover-up for the fact they can't write themselves out of the endings.

Oh, they can write themselves out of the endings, they just don't want to.

I don't want any returning factions. As stated above, if it's new, it better actually be new.

No Alliance? Well, the trailer shows a character with N7 armor. So. unless it was some kind of throwback replica armor, I think there's a strong chance that the Systems Alliance still exists.

I'm curious though as to why you don't want to see the Alliance?

Maybe thats a perfect reason for them to return. You clearly have hate invested.

Can't see how they would return in any form or why they would be wanted on the Ark. If they do find a means, that starts pushing us towards the "anyone can get to Andromeda" story-line, which would defeat the point of going to Andromeda.

Think "new" but familiar.  ;)

There could be a whole new wave of these types of creatures under Cerberus control. No longer based on Reaper tech, but I'm sure the creature schematics are still there.

If I wanted to see Cerberus and other factions again, I'd mod ME3 to contain the entire ME trilogy and play that.

A new game shouldn't be 90% identical to the previous one and if the old factions played a significant role, then the story would be the same, too.

So let's just forget about Cerberus, okay?

Not really hate as I want to kill them all but more like I don't want to see them at all.

But I'm still going to get the game unlike what some said on the other thread but I don't blame them. Still not a game breaker Krogans not in the game on the other hand...

If, for example, The Collectors (still somehow existed) and had lingering reaper influence, I think they could easily find a way to inhabit and interfere with the new protagonist. Same could be said of Cerberus. Sure TIM is gone, but I have no doubt that a like minded person would've taken his place. There would be instances of Cerberus forcing themselves and their ideals on newly established human settlements (kind of like the Mafia offering protection) which would in turn force you to go and defend a recently established settlement, or risk losing them to Cerberus.

I kind of like that idea. Think, GTA San Andreas gang turf wars, but with a Mass Effect twist.

Or they can just forget Cerberus and move on to something else. If they're going to pretend Shepard isn't King or Queen of the Milky Way, they better be able to pretend that every enemy faction has been utterly vanquished, too.

Same.

But for Turians. No Turians, and I'd most likely just stare in confusion at the start up screen like

But, yeah, I saw a Krogan in the announcement trailer.

One of the few elements from the original trilogy that can move with them is organizations. There is a balance between new and familiar that they are going to shoot for so it still feels like a ME game. Already leaving the MW has upset a contingent of fans due to how much of the ME feel is lost by losing the known set locations. Now a 2nd group is upset as nothing can remain from the original trilogy.

No win situation.

Cerberus may not be in Andromeda, but I'll have my character constantly reminding everyone that humanity is number 1 and not to forget Earth. If I'm able to customize my cabin, I would like to have a poster of TIM on the wall along with a poster of Earth.

Even after what happened to him?   Well, I suppose I understand. He didn't start out at all as he ended up and he was  always willing to put humanity first, even at the sacrifice of other humans. A truly ruthless man.

I'm sure they'll be some Cerberus armor you can wear  :P

we are hoping for fresh and new start. if we are going to fight the same old enemies then why bother with Andromeda?

just carry on Shepard story or find another hero who will take the eternal struggle with the universe on his/her shoulders and make Mass Effect 4!

I keep hearing more and more often about MEA being a more exploration game than the "struggle against the universe" so I would rather see our protagonist fighting voracious plants on ever green planets than Cerberus, Geth, biotic Volus or anyone else from old trilogy.

A little extreme no? I'm sure everyone happy with returning races? No factions returning doesn't mean nothing from the last 3 games can return.

No. I never said nothing, I said its one of the few things that is portable. Races, tech, government, biotics, factions.. I'm running out. Saying the game is dead to me if a faction makes it or if it's not in the MW are the extreme positions.

There is a balancing act between too little and too much. Factions make a lot of sense to make it to the new galaxy depending on a couple factors like the size and background of the Ark. If we are talking a few thousand people it stretches believability. If it's millions+ it is hard to believe some mercs or other factions didn't find a way on. And once there the insecurity of the populace would make a great recruiting ground.

I want the Collectors to return, or rather their technology since I'm hoping our Ark is a repurposed Black Ark aka Collector Cruiser.

I also wouldn't mind the Reapers returning in the sense of their legacy, ie Mass Relays in Andromeda.
