Something that's been bugging me this play through, is that I get all the bricks and stuff to upgrade my castle, but I can't find how to order it done. I have tried the desk at the blacksmith place, but I only seem to be able to change the curtains and things from that.
Tips thrown this way appreciated.
As you explore each region, you'll encounter quarries and logging stands. You claim them to gain resources to perform the upgrades you pick up from your desk in your quarters. That allows you to fix up the herb garden in the upper courtyard, repair the infirmary by Cassandra, and decorate the north tower.
As for structural upgrades, the place will begin to look somewhat more repaired as the story progresses, but it's never going to be 100% repaired. Even a casual glance at the BSN on any given day will show half a dozen "Why is Skyhold such a dump?" threads.
Ah! the desk in my quarters. No wonder I couldn't find out how to do it, I never go to my quarters.

I think it was included in the patch that preceded Trespasser. Since they didn't release the last DLC for PS3/360, I guess it's possible that they also didn't release that patch. :/
