I've played DA: O through once, I made it to what I thought was near the end (the blight) but could not complete it. However, after the game is over-- wait a minute, the games over... ALREADY!? it took me 17 hours of play time to beat this game!?
I'm confused....

All I've had so far is headache, I felt obliged to complete all of my "GET YOUR ARMY" quests first, then, all of a sudden, I'm fighting the blight and all of my other quests are gone... I'm only level 17-19..... What's going ON!?Image IPB

Once you kill the archdemon, the game is over. All you can play is DLC.

You need to enjoy the game do all the sidequests before finishing assembling your armies. ;)
I'm at 40+ hours, level 18-19, and only have three armies so far on this playthrough. But I did the same thing on my first, rushing through and finishing at a low level and 20 hours, wt****g at my barren map afterwards...

That is what happens when you rush through, hehe. Though I do agree with it being far too short, when I heard about this game, I was hearing 100 hours. Waay out of proportion. More like 70 or so, if you read all the Codex entries and such. (Though I guess it depends on how fast you can read. :P)

There's a lot more to this game than the main quest. Go hunt down side quests, do DLC, talk to everyone, and you'll be surprised at how much longer it will last.

Ah, if only we could have an infinite game.... *sigh*

Me too.

By your post that is.

Are you upset it was too short? Yet you said you weren't sure how you could manage to complete it, then you said it was a head ache to play, but you also wish it was longer? Huh?

I propose you go outside. This game was not fun for you move on with your life.

The level cap is 24 but most people will hit about 20 in the course of a normal game.

That was it. How did you not see it coming? You have to stop the Blight. That means killing the Archdemon. You do that. That's it. You wanted some random Darkspawn slaying afterwards?

So wait...the complaint is that you charged through the game, ignoring 80% of the content and then the game ended?

I do think that if you haven't played this kind of game before you can give the urgency of the situation too much merit. All the time people are telling you "Stop The Blight! Now, Damnit!". Now I, knowing that most roleplaying games tend to view 'urgent' in the same way Frodo Baggins did, will stop along the way to talk to, well everyone. I'll save children from wells, give marriage guidance and probably wander around looking for some perfect flower specimens, safe in the knowledge that The Darkspawn won't bother attacking until I'm ready for them.

Those who don't understand Time in this manner might, however, rush as they are told and be slightly surprised when the game is over.

Thanks. I will. I've restarted the game on a "clean slate" as a mage. I'm being the good dude... Is it possible to marry Leliana the Rogue?Image IPB

Is it possible to marry Leliana the Rogue?

The answer to that is "No, unless you install 1 of the Leliana head morph mods which make her bearable to look at in close-ups."

Before I installed that, I liked her for her personality.

Love it!

I personally can't leave an area before I've finished all the quests in it (It's an OCD thing...). I'm at lvl 16 only have 3 armies and am trying to hold off on Orzammar because I want to go back to Ostagar first... Naturally this has meant I've started another character... B)
