How to squabble endlessly over trivial matters.

Listen to your  fans in the sense of re-playing your older games and see why they are so popular. For example, one of the reasons I became a fan of Bioware is because Knights of the Old Republic is a very good and solid game.

Don't listen to your fans in the sense some of us are idiots or prone to idiocy.

To document their games better.

The last BioWare game with anything like adequate documentation was NWN. In 2002.

That Entertainment>Art

Not that a game can't be artistic.  But if it comes at the expense of player enjoyment, then it's just not worth it.

Just keep it simple. Don't alienate your hardcore fans, but don't leave out ones new to the franchise. Just make the game that we all know and love with some improvements.

Fans aren't asking for much. At least, I am not.

couldn't have put it better tbh

I believe that BioWare´s artistic integrity has been devaluated by Mass Effect3´s ending fiasco and DA2 and DA:I aswell, however for example DA:O or ME did something very good about the art of storytelling. DA:O was great because story was almost everywhere around, you were not just doing some random stuff, but you were involved with a world in various ways, thanks to every single litle story that has been placed out there.

But I think that games are not supposed to be an art, they may have some part of art involved, some more others less, but overall they are interactive medium that is here for purpose of entertaiment on the one side and sell on the other. Both of these points deppends on each other, it is important that BioWare has to realize that they are selling not just a game but also own name and not the art, they are making money from promise of product, which is with each new installment loosing own value.

I don´t care how much voice actors they hire, how much lines they do or how big locations are in those games, if the only what they can bring is social justice agenda, weak storytelling and overall emptiness

So yeah, TL;DR, calling dissaster as ME3 an artistic choice and artistic integrity, is weak attempt to tell the people that they are idiots that are not supposed to demmand or criticize anything that they paid for, not to mention even some touch of coherence with the quality set by previous installments.

Indeed, mu he he, no but seriously I am getting tired of this since the release of DA2, it´s not like something new, it seems like they are not going to leave it be. It´s just silly how this stuff is sneaking to the games. Other thing that bothers me is a fanservice, it´s happening to be more often that they do this stupid stuff that makes me cringe when i see it, it´s just not that feeling that I had back in times, I am getting old probably lol.

social justice has nothing to do with a concept of justice, it´s new -ism of 21st century.

I'm going to be cynical now....

Nothing of value. We have become so jaded, old, alienated and crotchety, that it doesn't matter what they learn or do, we will still criticize and shout and scream at them for it.

And the sad part is, I know it's going to happen and i'm just going to ignore it completely; because in the end, why not just let BioWare do their thing?

As an apparently, "jaded, old alienated and crotchety" person, I say sure, they can keep doing their thing.  But if they haven't learned anything, then they can do it without my money.

Trust is a currency that's hard to earn and easily spent.  There's a reason at least for the "alienated" and "crotchety" parts of the description.

The game should be 10% story and 90% romance

And don't forget to put 1000+ hairstyles in

I'm pro Turian, so I couldn't relate to hair.

But when I do play as a human, I have a helmet on 100% of the time anyway.

I demand vanguard charge interrupts in every conversation for vanguards.

This is a 100% serious girly demand that Bioware should learn from.

While I frequently don't do romances in my Bioware game playthroughs, I really do want nice hair.

Just for the record, I didn't mean to imply any approval at all of your position there. From what I can see it's your side which is making an unwarranted fuss over these issues.

I suppose what comes next would likely be a massive derail, but I'll leave that to others tonight.

They could probably learn how to make a better plot from me. I'm pretty confident that at least 50% of the ideas I've thrown out here have been 100% better than the plots of ME2 and ME3.

This a thousand times over.

I know the games aren't being built to be a deep rpg experience anymore, but the DA:I ''manual'' is a joke, and I don't expect much better from ME:A.

Strong words. I actually think ever since BioWare was bought by EA, there is defeinalty some self hate going on.

The founders and basically anyone who built BioWare has left and only a select few and newbies remain.

I wonder if Ray, Greg & Casey are disgusted by what BioWare has become.

There are still plenty of original people at BioWare, people do move on especially when looking to reach further ahead.  During the development of Dragon Age: Inquisition it was mentioned that over 75% of the people that worked on Origins were working on Inquisition.

Probably not, they didn't leave BioWare for another gaming studio or to start a new one they left game development all together.  Most of the time when a developer gets tired of working at a studio they seem to branch off and start another or join another one, look at Marty O'Donnell.
