At last! What can Bioware learn from us?

There are still plenty of original people at BioWare, people do move on especially when looking to reach further ahead.  During the development of Dragon Age: Inquisition it was mentioned that over 75% of the people that worked on Origins were working on Inquisition.

Probably not, they didn't leave BioWare for another gaming studio or to start a new one they left game development all together.  Most of the time when a developer gets tired of working at a studio they seem to branch off and start another or join another one, look at Marty O'Donnell.

Well, Casey is now working with Microsoft. So, I guess he's a solo exception.

Strong words. I actually think ever since BioWare was bought by EA, there is defeinalty some self hate going on.

The founders and basically anyone who built BioWare has left and only a select few and newbies remain.

I wonder if Ray, Greg & Casey are disgusted by what BioWare has become.

Hudson was Project Director for all three Mass Effect games and the Doctors were senior management. Buck stops where?

If they have issues with how things are and want someone to blame perhaps they should look in a mirror.

I know the games aren't being built to be a deep rpg experience anymore

Without documented rules, how would we know?

I can tell you what I've learned.

After recently looking through my comments that received likes by users here, it's good to know people have a sense of humor and others are as weird as I am.  :)

In correlation to that and staying on topic, Bioware should just focus on what they know the fans enjoyed and simply avoid the things that pissed us off.

But even still, people will find something new to complain about.

I don't think he is working on games anymore, but the Hololens technology.  I know it is splitting hairs, but to me it is different then working on games.

I don't know. I think EA had alot to do with them leaving. After ME3, I feel like an overwhelming amount of industry fatigue set in on them.

Perhaps. Anyway, all the best to them.

The problem that I have noticed in the years I have been on BioWare forums is no matter what BioWare does it will upset someone.  To me the best BioWare games have always been the original games because there hasn't been an influence on what direction they take or don't take.

Just for the record, I didn't mean to imply any approval at all of your position there. From what I can see it's your side which is making an unwarranted fuss over these issues.

I suppose what comes next would likely be a massive derail, but I'll leave that to others tonight.

I know, I believe that when this happened to be an issue, it had an impact on overall development of BioWare´s characters and story behind them. Back with the DA:O or ME you´ve had like one character that had some of sexuality theme, some people were insane about it, but there was nothing to be angry about. However with later games it´s happening to be more and more pushed forward to character development and excuse for some characters being in game is simply because of sexuality or gender issues.

I was being sarcastic when I made that post. SJWarriors deserve to be mocked.

I knew, it´s just something that has to be said, because some people will never learn... :D

As an apparently, "jaded, old alienated and crotchety" person, I say sure, they can keep doing their thing.  But if they haven't learned anything, then they can do it without my money.

Trust is a currency that's hard to earn and easily spent.  There's a reason at least for the "alienated" and "crotchety" parts of the description.

I am not going to jump at hype train either, I´ll wait, hell I may not even buy BioWare´s games anymore. It´s just something that I had to say, because BioWare had great games in past but it seems to be not the goal anymore...

The game should be 10% story and 90% romance

And don't forget to put 1000+ hairstyles in

Trying to please your audience is the typical good intention you'll find paving hell. They should try to forego stats and marketing analysis and do the best game they can and the game they would like to play.

On the other hand they should consider us like they consider themselves. Do not fall into the trap of forgetting you're selling the game to individual gamers not a confused polymorphic mass of people.

Respect your work, respect yourself as professionals and give your audience credit for being as smart as you are.

Less fan feedback in future games.

A ratio of 99:1 developer to fan feedback is acceptable. Anything more is not.

Okay, we need one serious opinion in this post:

consider everything people write here and read their explanations to understand their point. Don't listen to whiny fckboys and tumblr princesses. Remember about details. Details. Ok. Forget what I said before. REMEMBER ABOUT DETAILS.

Seriously Bioware "loudest" fans tend to turn the fandom in sheep who will scream about the most trivial complaint and make it a universal truth

I still don't consider ME1 the "best" nor do I think ME3 is bad from start to finish and I like James Vega and FPJ is a good voice actor who is getting gradually better

My only advice to bioware would be to remember what people liked about the previous games, but not to be afraid of trying something new

To thine own self be true.

Seriously...catering to the massess = a diluted product.  Be bold, original, and passionate.

During these last weeks we have discussed what Bioware can learn from many games and genres but no more comparisons. Share your wisdom fellow forumites. Let us show what they can learn from our incredible ideas!

If anything, because there is no new information and listing game after game Bio can learn from is getting a bit dull. The metaphorical show floor's yours now.

Never listen to the fans on BSN,

I didn't mind James either.

I tend to sit on the sidelines and quietly give feedback. Some people go a bit too far though.

That shutting down the BioWare forums will not hurt their product or brand.
