MAGE:

Barrier

 - I like how it's instant, a "YOU SHALL NOT PASS" ability; low health?  No problem, deny the enemy from downing your companion!

Energy Barrage

 - An explosion of power, and I like how it's elementally tuned to your staff, so if you really don't like lightning you can still pick this up for ice or fire power.

Immolate

 - instant detonation at the palm of your hand, just add *BOOM!*

KNIGHT ENCHANTER:

Spirit Blade

 - By far my favorite specialization, you can FEEL the power held in that sword, and nothing sums it up like Spirit Blade (and the passives):

"You thought I was an easy target?  This blade never fails, never breaks, and I. WILL. NOT. FALL."

--------

WARRIOR:

Shield Bash

 - I love the motion and the sound and light effect, especially with the upgrade where you lunge forward.

Charging Bull

 - It is very satisfying to see your inquisitor rush headlong into danger. knocking bad guys aside like bowling pins.

Combat Roll

 - definitely the damage upgrade, it's very effective in getting out of a tight spot while simultaneously bringing down evil.

TEMPLAR:

Wrath of Heaven

 - I love the sound of authority of this power, the stun against most everything, and the damage against demons is great.  A whole "This ends NOW!" feel.  Sometimes I'll use it at the end of a battle as a "victory pose".

--------

ROGUE:

Spinning Blades

 - especially the upgrade, I love using it as a finishing move, it has the sense of finality.

Explosive Shot

 - Arrows are nice, but grenade launchers are better, so why not have both?

TEMPEST:

Flask of Lightning

 - Bullet time on demand!

Flask of Fire

 - Explosive Shot, again and again.  The only thing better than a grenade launcher is a rapid-fire grenade launcher.

-------------

My favorite class is the Mage, with Warrior coming in a close second.

That's why I like the Knight-Enchanter and Templar specs respectively, because gameplay-wise, they add elements of the "other class" to the core class.  (Mage gains a sword, and Warrior gains "anti"-magic)

I really like the stonefist ability animation. Just shooting a rock from your staff to knock your opponent on their ass

Not done a playthrough as a warrior yet on DAI but based on he other games I'd say my favourite way to play is definitely a mage though. I've done the prologue as a warrior a couple of times to get to grips with how best to play it for when I do create one though so I know a little bit. I do tend to use winters grasp to freeze enemies on the spot then allowing my warriors to move in and kill them. I also like the stonefist and firestorm abillities. I think my favouriet class is definitely Rift mage as I've always prefered to keep my enemies at range rather than going up close and personal.

My second would probably be a Tempest or Assassin Dual wielding rogue. Because I like the idea of using stealth to sneak up on an enemy and taking them down especially with dual bladed daggers even the dragons had trouble dealing with me when I went up against them with those. I also love the idea of no lock can resist my charm kind of feel that being a rogue gave me especially after picking up the deft hands fine tools perk. I love the thousand cuts ability as well being a massive damage dealer and flask of liightning. Also I find the mark of death ability in the games that the assassin tree has is pretty damn useful as well.

For when I play warrior I tend to go Templar or Champion as my go to specializations. Mostly for the same reason as like you really the anti magic abilities templars have I find extremely useful when going up against enemy mages or the darkspawn emissaries of which there are plenty of and certainly enough I find to justify having the abilities available. Also Champion because of the team boosting abilities really as I used these skills a loit in DAO and DA2 to rally my team around me and boosting their performance

My favorite rogue abilities are Leaping Shot because the backflip looks really cool and Death Blow, again because the animation is amazing. Favorite rogue spec it's got to be artificer just because of the Elemental Mines. If you ever wanted explosions, now you get more than you can handle (I fell off the world once because of one too many explosions).

Favorite warrior abilities. Now that is a hard one, I don't like many of them but if I had to choose, I would go for Livid, because it gives you wings literally and lunge and slash. Favorite spec is the Templar just for Wrath of Heaven. That skill looks really awesome.

Mages are interesting. I really like Static Cage for it's usefulness and cool factor. Basically all the skills in the lighting tree look awesome and are useful. Honorable mention to Revival + Desperation.

I like all specs for different reasons. With Necromancers you get Walking Bomb which is a long time favorite of mine, plus the new upgrade for Spirit Mark turns you into a magical machine gun, Knight Enchanters get Spirit Blade which is basically a lightsaber, plus infinite barriers and Rift mages get all the cool stuff DA2 Force mage had and more. Still I will never get over the fact that Bioware removed Crushing Prison and Mana Clash.

Mage

General: Fire Mine/Searing Glyph

Knight Enchanter: Fade Cloak/Decloaking Blast

Rift Mage: very hard to pick one, but I'd have to go with Veilstrike, though Pull of the Abyss is right up there

Necromancer: Horror/Despair

Rogue

Archer General: Long Draw (I really like the peeeeeeeewww sound effect it makes!)

DW General: Stealth

Artificer: Elemental Mines (but really, Hook & Tackle/Beats Walking)

Assassin: Mark of Death/Mark of Doom

Tempest: hard to pick one, but I guess Flask of Lightning because I like the 3rd person machine gun effect

Warrior

General: Charging Bull

Champion: Counterstrike -- it has very limited usage, but for those special occasions, it's awesome

Reaver: Devour

Templar: Spell Purge (after a Wrath of Heaven strike)

Inquisitor

General: Closing rifts

Specialization: Aegis of the Rift (I just never thought Mark of the Rift was worth the focus, except for JoH rifts)

yeah I do use Mark of the rift in the arlier part of the game but once I get my specvialization or get to Joh and get the shield I usually ditch it for that most of the time.
