Without spoiling too much, could someone who has played as a Qunari let me know if there are dialogue options that let you become dedicated to the Qun, and espouse the beliefs of the Qun?

I know there won't be any major story deviation, but at least rhetoric that helps my role playing would be a huge deal. I always avoided rolling a Qunari character because early on all the armors sucked. Now coming back to the game after a while and seeing at least the Qunari DLC makes me want to try a Qunari character.

I was very pleased that my elf rogue, who is dalish, can very much speak to being dalish, and claim that is what's most important to him. The moment he was named Inquisitor and was able to say he'd do it to show people a positive image of the dalish - that's the kind of stuff I'm looking for with a Qunari.

I believe you're Tal-Vashoth in DA:I, so are you able to return to a more Qun following stance? Does Iron Bull hate you because you're Tal-Vashoth?

A qunari Inquisitor is technically just a "Vashoth" — a qunari not born under the Qun. The Tal-Vashoth are qunari who leave it.

The Iron Bull has no problem with you, since you're not a murderous savage like other Tal-Vashoth he fought. "You're not the kind I hate."

I do recall that he tells a qunari Inquisitor that the qunari would probably break a strong-willed Vashoth's mind. Also, I would not make your character a mage. The qunari do not allow mages who weren't born under the Qun to live. They are considered "already corrupted" and killed.

Good to know about the Vashoth vs Tal-Vashoth bit. And the mage point as well. Thanks!

Nope. There is no option to do this. It wouldn't make sense from a lore perspective, because a Qunari cannot be the leader of a foreign military order affiliated with the chantry.

Just curious, do you have some sort of RP backstory in mind? As far as I'm aware, the only real Qunari your Vashoth Qunari Inquisitor would ever have met would be The Iron Bull. So what would then prompt them to make this decision?

Essentially what I had in mind is a Vashoth who at some begins to wonder what they're missing - feeling alienated from a culture they've never known, but always wondered about. I doubt there's any room for a full blown Qun follower, but at least an Inquisitor who takes the broad strokes of the Qunari culture into practice while leading the Inquisition. Even just a few lines of dialogue here and there would be helpful.

Not a follower, maybe specifically (racial options) sympathetic but I'm not sure.

Look forward to the possibility in the next game or two though.

You can play as a Qunari who greatly admires the Qun. You can tell Josephine you've considered joining the Qun, Iron Bull can remark that you sound like a Qunari and well, there are numerous more spoilery examples where you can do or say certain things that cement your admiration of the Qun (probably more if you have Trespasser).

I'm playing as a Tal-Vashoth Qunari who loves the Qun and it works really well. To really get in character, refrain from asking anyone any personal questions (only ask them practical questions) and have a deep-rooted hate of all things Tevinter. Be pro-Templar since the Qunari think mages need to be leashed. Don't do any side quests unless they directly relate to the main quest. As a bonus, download Spoils of the Qunari and equip the Arishok armor as soon as you enter Haven.
