No. If I can't take the main villian seriously, then I can't take the game seriously.

Yeah, I suppose a comical villian would get old pretty fast.

Also corny and annoying on multiple playthroughs.

Yeah but TIM had a bit more charisma thanks to Martin Sheen and a less jokey personality.

That's what seperates us, where you see TIM as a joke, i see TIM as a well developed tragedy.

How was TIM well developed?

I saw this and was immediately reminded of Dr. Nefarious from Ratchet & Clank.
A villian like this could never be the main antagonist for a game like Mass Effect, but I could picture a more......restrained version of him being a one-off villian for a sidequest or minor questline.

He was a bad guy, he was not so bad, but he wanted something good for good guy, but then the agenda ended up as bad. And he is racist. Interesting yes, Stupid yes. Mark sheen redeems most of his character. That voice

How can a character be stupidly developed yet well developed? If the only smart, compelling thing about a character is their voice, that character isn't well developed.
TIM is just an asspull in character form. He's only been what the plot needed him to be, and nothing more.

SpectrePug, I think I should warn you. Killroy hates Cerberus, more that I hate STD carrying Quraian slaves.
He sees no good in them, whatsoever. A fair warning.

He is a well developed tragedy, in the sense that mark sheen facades the depressing excuse of a character gone cobra, less funny and more sad that bioware created such a character that collapses in trying to be threatening. he is like a cronenberg with a mask trying to convince you that he is not deformed. his desperation amuses me.
