See, I never even thought of the Catalyst/star child as a character, just as a plot device that talked.
All characters are plot devices but not all plot devices are characters.
However, by virtue of talking, the Catalyst is a character.

Kai Leng? He was kind of a failure in the ay he was presented, played and used in-game.... While he might have had some combat skill and crazy reaper upgrades, it was hard to take him serious.

Kai Leng and the Catalyst would be the safe answers, but I'll also throw in Liara cause I don't like her

The thing that really irked me about Liara is that she had absolutely no personality whatsoever. Her entire existence revolved around Shepard from start to finish, essentially being nothing more than a masturbatory fantasy and designated waifu.Kai Leng and the Catalyst would be the safe answers, but I'll also throw in Liara cause I don't like her

Balak, although I spare him in ME3 for the Batarian fleets.
I don't really hate anyone, they just bore me and the title for most boring person in the Milky Way goes to Tali. If she wasn't part of my crew back in ME1 I would have totally forget about she existing.

Balak´s second in command. Hey, we only wanted to enslave, rape, pillage and burn, not doing terrorism, so can we go now, please. He´s actually the only guy I ever reloaded for, to kill him before he even had a chance to talk. Even wehen Paragon, totally worth it.
Maya Brooks: Oh my. ![]()

Liara.
Kai Leng is a little (swear), but I consider him a successful character: He was supposed to be hated. Ditto with Henry Lawson, he was meant to be a monster, and that's exactly how we felt about him.
But Liara...she was meant to be Shepard's bestie, but came off as so forced that it was ridiculous. I had no choice but for Shepard to like her, even when I ignored her. That is a failure.

Killing Balak's second in command was pretty satisfying. He just wanted to grab slaves. Great thing to say to the human space marine. It's like he's begging to get killed, and my Shepard wasn't one to deny him his just dessertts.Balak´s second in command. Charn? I let him live as Paragon and kill him as a Renegade.

This character was to me the most intriguing charcter in ME1, the choice to collaborate or not with him felt like a very weighted choice.
Then Bioware made him a brute for lus to punch in the face, thus making that very choice from ME1 completely moot.
My guess is that most of the idea they originally had for the shadow broker were mixed in the Illusive man character. Come to think of it, without the Illusive Man, the Shadowbroker might have stayed a decent character and Terra Firma could have been more fleshed out instead of Cerberus taking it's place, once again replacing politics with fisticuffs.
Maybe I hate the Illusive man more then.

I disliked Garrus simply because i hate that BioWare deems it necessary to put me into some sort of "bro" mode so he ends up dead in most of my play throughs asap

EDI started to really rub me up the wrong way in ME3. Lovely voice, but too much jokey stuff, stupid romance, daft body and not being very interesting just ruined her for me. Felt like I was supposed to really like her and care about her experience and find her little exploration of what it is to be alive interesting and I just didn't.

It's Liara - is there any secret way to kill her? Can her voice be even more boring? Can she be even creepier? JUST DIE.
& Jacob - I don't remember how he sounds in english version but in polish he had terrible voice actor who definetly wanted to play robot but they gave him someone else so he sabotaged them.

Yes there is a way to have her killed. Just have your ems below 2000, take her on the beam run and Harbinger will vaporize her

Seems that it´s quite common with the (Ex) Cerberus villains from the DLCs, too. Maya is more or less begging to go Renegade and shoot her, when she runs. And the escape atttempt is, if we are honest, horribly written.
Petrovsky´s talk is better but still, asylum?
