Can we have more neutral or evil companions?

If we have evil companions, we need to be able to not recruit them/boot them out/arrest them/kill them.

This for every single companion pls.

On that note, that was my problem with Morinth. There is literally no justification at all from a story perspective to recruit her. She's an unpredictable serial killer who openly professes a desire to murder Shepard.

Sigh..

We should start with the player tbh. There is no reason a good player would recruit evil companions, and if we are not allowed to be evil..

I can't help but feel that any attempt to make a companion "evil" would just end with that character being a largely toothless follower that just disapproves of our goody-goody actions but does little about it. I guess the most one could really expect is just someone who is largely indifferent and passive, like Morrigan.

And how is this any different from how "good" companions react when you choose to be ruthless?

I've always had mixed feelings on "evil" party members. It just feels like they're trying too hard sometimes.

Morrigan - "Pfft!!! Why are we helping Redcliffe survive undead attacks!? T'is not our problem!"
Me - "Oh gee I don't know Morrigan. Maybe because WE DON'T STAND A SNOWBALLS CHANCE IN HELL AGAINST LEGIONS OF DARKSPAWN IF WE DON'T HAVE AN ARMY!!!!!!!!!"

Jack - "Hold on cheerleader, I'm not taking orders from you!"
Me - "B**** we are literally INSIDE the Collector's main base! This is neither the time nor place for a p****** contest! Do it now, complain about it later!"

Don't get me wrong, I ultimately ended up loving both of those characters. I actually romanced Morrigan. But the problem with "evil" party members in a game where you're ultimately trying to save something is that their "evilness" reeeeally tends to feel forced.

The only character in an RPG that was evil that didn't feel forced was Boo.

Yeah, thats a problem I often have with "evil" characters. Sometimes they just don't seem to think or just protest your actions because "I don't wanna do it/like it".

Evil is played out. It's kind of childish.

To do something bad for a good reason is better.

Look at Saren, he THOUGHT he was doing good. Maybe we will have companions that just want to establish a new colony and is willing to wipe out the native species so their own species can thrive.

I'm gonna pull the evil is relative here. These evil actions may not be evil but just human motivations and feelings like fear and selfishness or personality like being aggressive and jerky to NPC, stealing from them or it could be actions that may be more on the practical side like sabotage the Krogan's cure because they may think Krogan is a dangerous and aggressive race that can reproduce at an alarming rate. FemShep from Fallout 4 is kinda like that, she likes stealing and like selfish actions, demanding more money. It's more about player's agenda and have your character not being judged or annoyed by your companions by allowing us the have people who may be in favor of our actions, especially when companions are always an important element of Bioware games. It's not about having evil for the sake of evil but being around people you bring around the game that you have something in common with. I like to surround myself with likeminded people, and if I choose to play good, I could bring good people, and if I want to be a jerk, I want to bring jerks with me. Otherwise, it's not really it's just more of the developer's agency instead of player's agency.

If we get evil and neutral characters like Kreia and HK-47 from the KOTOR series, I'm all for it. Loved their different perspectives  :)

I'd love if that "evil" character referred to organics as "meatbags" in reference to HK-47.

First of all ME has always been gray, no companions have either been "good o evil".   Second of all why do I always see threads on the bsn where people want more evil choices?

Because variety is good. Some people would rather kick a puppy rather than help an old lady across the street. There is no point for choices if they intentionally leading or annoy you toward good choices.

HK-47 was just plain gold!
