Honestly it bothers me more if a PC and an NPC/companion have identical, distinct hairstyles and that never gets conmmented on, than it does that an NPC/companion has a hairstyle the PC can't. It bugged the hell out of me in Origins that my femCousland had the same hair as Leliana and neither could mention it, but it never bothered me that my femCousland couldn't have Morrigan's hair or my maleCousland couldn't have Alistair's hair.
Companion exclusive hairstyles - bad?
