Ashalle, the Dalish woman who I believe is implied to have adopted and raised the Dalish Warden, wears the vallaslin of Elgar'nan, I think.
The challenges of roleplaying a Dalish hunter.

"According to elven legend, the sun grew jealous of the favor shown by Elgar'nan for the things of the earth, and so burned them to ashes. In retaliation, Elgar'nan threw the sun down from the sky, and only relented because of Mythal's intervention. He was convinced, with her help, to restore his father to the sky on the promise that the sun would set each night. With the aid of Mythal and his parents, Elgar'nan remade the world. Most elves will invoke Elgar'nan's name when they seek retribution." - Elgar'nan from the Wikipedia.
Elgar'nan seems to be connected with war and destruction as well as retaliation as indicated by this song which I believe is about Titan-caused earthquake; "Elgar'nan, Wrath and Thunder, give us glory, give us victory, over the earth that shakes our cities. Strike the usurpers with your lightning. Burn the ground under your gaze. Bring the Winged Death against those who throw down our work. Elgar'nan, help us tame the land." - Codex entry: Song to Elgar'nan

The sun motif is interesting, because we've seen Titan related places look to have sun-like things.
The folk Elgar'nan also seems to be the patron god of daddy issues if how often he and the sun quarreled is anything to go by.

This isn't really related to the topic, but I facepalmed so hard when my Dalish archer told Vivienne "I'm no hunter" when asked to hunt down the snowy wyvern. Ah, writing oversights.
Damn that line ![]()

I played a Dalish hunter , your average guy , not mage , not a scholar , and I thought it was super interesting.
I think there's a huge gap between a simple hunter and what the Dalish aspire to be.
Bringing back an empire of magic where elves were immortal and all well mages , you have to wonder what place you would have in such a world .
My hunter ended up feeling closer to Sera than Solas for example , it was a bit shocking .

I'm serious. If Arcane Warriors can learn to channel their magic into improving melee combat, then what's to stop mage archers from learning to channel their magic into improving archery and hunting?
