I could've recommended making Traps for Alison in Lothering, but you're well past that now. For future reference, you can keep making traps for her and get tons of gold that way (but you'll also get XP as well). It's just that Lothering burns down fairly quick.

Other than that, just loot a lot and sell. Try to keep just what you need. Playing regularly, you'll still get to the point that you can afford several expensive (100g) items.

Wait until a bit later, some enemies drop a lot of gold at once. There are also some unique enemies dropping unique weapons, if you don't need them they can be sold for quite a nice price.

I use golden egg mod. I played thru twice vanilla.. Ended up having a lot of money at the need when you don't really need it. With the golden egg, you can buy what you need and enjoy the game more :)

There are two ways of farming gold in this game.

First one is through an exploit, second one requires retardeds amounts of PATIENTIENTIENCE.

1: click on this link>> http://dragonage.wik...loits_(Origins)

2: For the first method, while on the linked page, hit ctrl + f and type Unlimited Money

3: For then second method, hit ctrl + f and type Potent Lyrium Potions

Alternatively, beat the Golem of Amgarrak DLC to get the reapers cludgel item in your inventory as the game starts and sell it to any vendor.

There you go.

I've completed Origins, maybe 15 times in total, and I thought I knew it like the back of my hand, but I didn't realise you could hand in traps to Allison more than once. You've just taught me something I didn't know  :)

To make coin, I usually sell the Blood Dragon Armor that's in my inventory from the start of the game, which gives me enough coin to buy all of the  backpack upgrades in Ostagar, and then as the game progresses I just sell every single darned thing in my inventory that I do not typically use, and do most side quests.

I usually find that I'm down to around 60 gold by the time I'm running around Orzammar late in the game (I always do Paragon of Her Kind last), because I've bought all the expensive tomes from the various vendors, along with upgraded crafting recipes etc. But there's a very lucrative quest called 'Precious Metals' in Dust Town that can net you a crap-load of gold if you do it right.

Basically talk to Rogek, accept his 'investment opportunity', and barter him down using your pursuade skills so that you only have to pay 40 gold for the lyrium, then pickpocket him to recover 20 gold. Then head out to the Circle Tower. If you are playing on PC you can make an additional 12 gold by selling the lyrium to the quartermaster due to an exploit in the PC version, but either way, head to the Senior Mage Quarters, and deal with Godwin, sell him the Lyrium, and barter with him so that he gives you 65 gold plus a Crow Dagger for the lyrium, then blackmail him for a further 8 gold.

Head back to Dust Town, and barter with Rogek so that he gives you a 25 gold finders' fee: Total profits 103 gold plus the dagger.

By the time I'm heading out of the Deep Roads, after resolving the Anvil of The Void issue, I'll typically have around 320+ gold under my belt, and that's after buying every spell, skill and ability tome, other than the one in the Alienage, and all potion upgrades.
