Two questions: Is it part of a canon? and are there any plans to expand it?

Given that the series was cancelled after six issues and Dark Horse now has the Dragon Age comics license, I think it's safe to say that we will never see any more of this.

 

As for whether it's canon, I'm inclined to think not. (Just for starters, given what we now know about Gregoir, his behaviour seems wildly out of character. There are all kinds of other details that seem off, too.)

I believe this comic has been unofficially relegated to the trash can of Discontinuity. The devs pretend it doesn't exist, and most fans are willing to oblige them.
