[A Lvl 90 Wizard]

I sold the game around february for destiny but recently i just got it,i see all of these new dlc classes and i hear theres a new ilvl of gear instead of 23. So is there any new strategies or anything? One thing im glad to see is that alot more people are playing perilous

Well thats good, im seeing alot of people in perilous take no damage for some reason. I was playing my lvl 20 reaver, got 3 shotted ,and there was a lvl 1 silent sister tanking and did double my damage in the after results

Perilous can feel like routine to people with sufficient gear and promotes. Silent sister is one of the strongest characters in the game, and also one of the strongest level 1 characters.

One thing to note is that there is new armor as well. It is unlocked by earning 1 mil xp with warriors, mages, or rogues respectively. Once you hit 1mil with rogue class for example, you are rewarded with a chest that has drakescale for each of your unlocked rogue characters.

I recommend doing those three challenges first, as drakescale can really help. The challenge is detailed under the challenge tab in your inventory/ skill GUI before joining a match.

Is drakescale armor that good? Does it give bonuses or something? Even if i get drakescale armor, what should i do from there to get overpowered like the others lol

Promotions, gear, knowledge of game mechanics.  Hakkon weapons (end game gear) deals huge amounts of critical damage, as well as having multiple masterworks on them.  Promotions are also high enough to get maximum damage resistances from them, as well as 100% crit chance to get the most out of those weapons.

It's not just the drakescale armor, but all top tier armor.  Whenever Nightmare and Heartbreaker where added, top tier armor got a huge buff.  It used to have an armor rating only slightly higher than the basic armor (like 10 more armor), whereas now it is twice as strong.  That made Perilous much easier to solo as a level one right then and there.

First, your loot score needs to be high enough; I believe 800 items looted is the threshold.  Once you have high enough of a loot score, you need to kill the dragon on Nightmare difficulty or higher.  The drop rate starts out at 15%, then halves every Hakkon weapon you get.  I'm sure Pronto would love to help you acquire some of them.  His GT is in his signature, or you can just find him on the leaderboard and spam him invites.

Check your wealth challenge.  Old chests gave out 5 items for 1200 gold.  Should be some simple math.

Since the armor buff, perilous became the new threatening. If you pay attention, you can quite comfortably run Perilous at lv1 with top tier armor and decent weapon (don't have to be Hakkon, just any decent or even half decent weapon would do) with some promotions (of course not necessary but it makes life easier. ).

1. Whatever you think it is, you'll be wrong.

 

2. If by some miracle you get it right, you'll still get crap regardless.

 

3. When the 10,000 cap was introduced there was tinkering with the loot levels, which convinced me at the time it was all screwed up.

10000 items is highest loot score you can get.

You can't see it though. It was supposed to be viewable eventually but it never happened before support was dropped.
