I tried the following settings for both renderers...

DX9 - texture quality on medium + high res texture patch, v-sync on, and DX11 - texture quality on medium + high res texture patch, AA x2, AF x2, V-sync on.

On either i get pretty much the same performance (except the game looks much better on DX11 ofc), constant 60fps with some drops on areas that have a lot of fog or similar.

But on DX11 specific sometimes fps drops to 30 if not 1 which makes the game freeze for a brief moment, this happens while exploring at night when you encounter a large amount of enemies which constantly respawn...

So the question is should i stick to DX11 or switch to DX9 for flawless performance, but worse graphics?

I stuck with DX9... because of framerate. If you get the same performance, then stick with it. I didn't mind the graphics myself, but I also started first on the 360. So it was more a step up. I don't think there's much improvement anyways. The character style is done in such a way that it looks good regardless. Kind of like WoW has a distinctive style that doesn't need shiny. It's mostly an improvement in scenery and environments, I guess.

I've been playing the game for many hours now on DX11 on the said settings and i haven't had any peformance issues. It's constant 60fps, even during those wave after wave encounters...

I guess those small issues I've experienced at the beginning might've been related to a certain location, or maybe i was just switching back and forth too much in the settings or something... Either way, thx for your input. :)
