Then you went on and try to insist that Canada is the same as the states. And it results in somehow, because i show how the two nations are different and how I have no desire to be associated with America because there are pretty terrible things that go with that name, I am a bigot in some people's eye. I even specifically stated that I do not think Americans or America is made up with all these negative points there are some pretty positive aspects to your history, but that gets ignored and because I am not rawr, rawr, America i am narrow minded. Seriously how the hell does that logic work?

I can point out the shared culture (being part of the Anglo-sphere), philosophy (specifically similar embrace of Kantian principles), similar politics (not political systems though they are of course related) and so on to show theat the two countries are in fact associated, and deeply so in some parts of the world.

Because disagreeing and pointing out how our two nations are NOT the same is nastiness. The hubris here is staggering.

The nastiness was from making my adopted homeland out to be some sort of morally backward culturally bankrupt insensitive place.

Also we have this liver pate that's stewed in milk.
Not from a cow traditionally mind you.

 

Not sure what type of milk, but I like goat cheese and sheep cheese so would be fine trying food using non-cow milk. And I like liver pate.

Got I HATE being associated with Australia ... I got to the point where I make up stories about me being from there because they don't bother to listen anyways. My spoken english is pretty on point so my accent isn't the issue, it's people not listening past the Austr part.

 

I also hate being associated with Germany. Or Nazi Germany which is a popular topic among the US crowd when you bring up your heritage ...

I'm an American who has lived his life in the South completely but cause I'm blonde haired and Blue eyed and have a German family I get the Nazi comparisons all the time.
