I would love to have some betrayals happening during the campaign, Like on DAI: Trespasser DLC.
With actual fights as well, not cutscenes.
Imagine betraying Wrex and having to fight him with a predator pistol??
Biover, plox.

It would be a lot better if they kill off some of your companions, like maybe the 3rd person in your group, once they betray you.
I'm for it. Kinda like a certain character from DA:I - Trespasser... well technically two but yeah.
NWN 2 sort of did that at the end. The gist of it is, depending on their loyalty all your followers one by one either join the end boss against you, or side with you. It's a tad more complicated than that but that's the idea. I thought it was interesting, particularly at the time, albeit poorly done.
Something similar could be interesting. Make your Renegade/Paragon choices much more poignant if instead of just getting every companion you have to pick and choose depending on who will likely agree with you in the future, and more importantly. Who will not.
Be careful what you wish for. It could just be another approach by which Cerberus shows its ugly face again.
My first foray into Bioware games was killing Carth and teen Twilek. Sounds like it should be a tradition. Now I have sit through insufferable characters. Far more insufferable than Carth and Mission. I actually felt bad about that at least.

Mission Vao! Shame on you!
There should be more conflict with companions, either as part of the main plot or just in general, which can result in death or leaving you forever etc.
Since Fenris is already mentioned, I would like if they ever did this to make it a variable plot point so that it actually feels like a betrayal. If that's what you're going for that is, also make the character who may or may nor betray you a love interest.
In Dragon Age 2, it was possible to fight and kill a good deal of companions in the final mission, but it was highly wasted on the fact that it was so easy to bypass the fights altogether. Praised them? Pass. Spent the entire game antagonizing them with every breath? Pass. Chose the 'no' option? Pass.
I often think that if actually played it straight and you were forced to fight the half of your party that didn't support you, it would have made a much more interesting finale than what we got.
But yes, killing companions/squad members is a proud tradition of Bioware games.
Would be nice. In DAO Zevran could betray you, in DA2 many companions could like Isabela in the middle and Fenris, Anders and Merrill in the end, in DAI Trespasser Iron Bull could and well Solas though that is inevitable which only makes him becoming antagonist better though we don't fight him- yet. In ME side there is Wrex that can turn against you, and kinda Kaidan/Ashley during ME3. So it's likely that there is something like that in ME:A.
The Isabella betrayal was ok and genuinely puts you in a bind if she's the love interest.

Forgot about Bull.. but I haven't played Trespasser. Because I think DAI itself wasn't worth more money.
I'd prefer not having to necessarily kill him at all though. He should be kickable to begin with, like Sera. I don't know why they singled her out.
I'd like to see some special scenarios where squaddies don't fall based on choice...like a firefight against a boss or a final misson where if they fight and you're out of medigel they're down for good.
They planned on doing another Virmire scenario with the VS and Liara, apparently.. when there was an entirely different Thessia and better Kai Leng story.
I thought it'd be cool if we went to Palaven and Garrus could possibly die rescuing his dad. lol..
I'd prefer a go it alone end sequence like in SW: KotOR II, so that if you kept or lost companions it doesn't matter as much.
I like betraial and companion death only when there is a chance to have a different outcome. Like with Miranda or Tali, or Zevran.
Or if is very well done. Like with (expecially a romanced one) Solas or Mordin. (Mordin was actually a choice Too)

Killing companions in fights are ok, but I really wanted to see an actual cutscene with IB's death in Trespasser, so I'm fine with fight + cutscene at the end (for bigger impact)

I agree. It's really annoying having to fight no matter what a character you like... solas ![]()
We did have a lot of situations in ME3 in which squadmates went against Shepard and the latter had/could kill them, which kind surprises me when I think about it because overall I get the impression squadmates worshiped Shepard way too much.
Anyway, I support the OP's idea. Having a squadmate becoming something of a villain would be so cool. And then fighting him.
I MEAN:
Bastila had the best romantic story in any Bioware game, and the reason is how strongly she is tied to the main storyline and the conflict that arises from there. Jesus, the scene with her on the Star Forge is something even Mass Effect doesn't have. Although Mordin and Wrex comes extremely close.

That was good I;ll see your killing Carth and Mission and raise you one enslaving MOST OF YOUR FOLLOWERS TO YOUR WILL in Jade Empire now thats the sort of evil Bad arse I want to be again
I want a squadmate to make an attempt at sabotaging the mission (whatever it may be), either 2/3 or 3/4 the way through the game (based on your choices and or interactions with them). Who knows, maybe they could be a Cerberus sleeper cell or someone who simply subscribes to Cerberus ideals. (that's about all the Cerberus I could deal with this time around. But it'd be cool as hell)
Like we've already had in Mass Effect?
Wrex will turn on you in 1 if you argue for destroying the Genophage cure Saren has.
Ashley/Kaiden will side against you depending on how you treated them up till the Cerberus Coup in 3.
Have a situation like Leliana and Sacred Ashes quest. If the Warden defiled the ashes, she turns on the Warden and dies.
