Are you sure the victory chest is still there? There was a little hiccup after book 5 event...where all the month long challenge got mixed up and shown as not done. I think I remember reading that someone lost the victory chest.
So, what goodies did the last book give you?

There was a second challange with the benfit of a victory chest. I think it was 30 runs without dying. But this was a bug. You get the victory chest for the book challange.
