Hey there!

As we all know the Inqusitor is well placed to return as the next Dragon Age's protagonist. Some people want a new hero, some people want dual protagonists (like Geralt and Ciri in The Witcher 3) and some people want the protagonist to be the Inquisitor. This post is addressed only to those who want dual-protagonists or the Inquisitor only.

So I recently created a page on my website where you can go and leave a VOTE for the Inquisitor. Here is the address: http://greenbrownblu...inquisitor.html . It is also supposed to promote a twitter hashtag: #BringBackTheInquisitor . I will be uploading screens of your comments and the most interesting I want to put into a YouTube vid. So I encourage you to visit the website to VOTE for the Inquisitor, I encourage you to use #BringBackTheInquisitor (especially in tweets to @bioware and @dragonage) and finally I hope you will leave kind and positive comments under this post.

NOTE: The website works, but is still under construction. I will work on it after mid term exams (January).

Here is a comment from Bioware forum's user - Hanako Ikezawa - that you might find very interesting (he reffers to an interview with David Gaider):

I hope that the Inquisitor returns as the protagonist for Dragon Age 4, or at least a protagonist if Bioware does a dual protagonist scenario. Dragon Age: Inquisition was originally planned to be a much larger story that eventually had to be split in half and DAI was the first half, so the basis is there since DA4 is going to be the second half. They built a unique connection between the Inquisitor and the man who will be the next game's antagonist, something that will be lacking with a new protagonist. And regardless of player input, the Inquisitor is going after Solas, either to try to convince him to stop or stop him by any means necessary. Plus having a protagonist with a handicap is something that happens rarely, especially in video games, and would match Bioware's intent to be progressive. On the flip side, making the Inquisitor handicapped just so they can't be the hero anymore would be a very bad thing.

EDIT: THANK YOU GUYS FOR 200 VOTES FOR THE INQUISITOR <3 ! I hope we can reach 1000! If you have a Twitter account, remember to use the hashtag ^^ !

Playing as the Inquisitor again is a silly idea, and you're deluding yourself if you think it's possible to play as a character THAT DOESN'T HAVE AN ARM ANYMORE! Why do you all fail to understand that, in an action RPG, the character you play as needs both arms! Get this into your heads!

Ok. There is a simple solution. Make Inquisitor the protagonist and you just dont play DA4 ^^. Wait for DA5.

They can get a prosthetic arm. Bioware has already toyed with the idea in the past(The Iron Bull was at one time designed to have a prosthetic arm) and in the present(the Inquisitor gets a kind of prosthetic if they become a Red Jenny). We were able to make prosthetics that worked in medieval times, and we didn't have magic or Dwarven and/or Qunari engineering.

Then what was the bloody point in cutting off the Inquisitors arm if you're just going to replace it anyway?! It makes absolutely no sense to do that. It was done to end their story.

What was the point in cutting off Luke's hand when within 15 minutes he gets a prosthetic?

The answer is because it added to the story later. Same can be the case for the Inquisitor losing their limb.

I totally agree with the arguments here, as such. Hanako is right.

- However... :

It's not what I would want Bioware to do with DA:4. It may be the 'best' way to progress from Trespass, but that's more yet an example of how Bioware pathologically ruin games by making very disastrous endings. The fact that it's the best way to continue from Trespass doesn't mean that DA:4 should or will be made that way. It only means that DA:I/Trespass shouldn't have ended that way. EA/Bioware f* up with the ending. As usual. The purpose of that ending was partially to 'get rid of' the Inquisitor, at least from the focus of the story.

Because Bioware have no intentions to do anything like suggested. They will have a new protagonist with every game (which I support and agree with), and they have overdosed on Georg R.R Martin and decided that having every character, good or bad, die a miserable death, or, ultimately fail and die a miserable death, is the pinnacle of story-telling.

So even if Solas and his ambitions is the, or one of, major pivot in DA4, the Inquisitor's role will only be a haunted cripple in the shadows. Probably, the Inquisitor will sacrifice him/herself someway.

There are countless threads repeating similars arguments and debate already.
Though I do also want inquisitor as protagonist and I understand very well the urge,

But man, this is getting annoying. Very, Very Annoying.

You seem to have forgotten that Gaider's no longer with the writing team. There is a chance that Weekes may not let your fantasy come true.

If you do not remove the arm then you can't bring in a prosthetic. It could be an extra feature that Bioware planned, sth that would be a breath of fresh air in combat. CD Projekt did it by for example adding a mini-crossbow. So: "get this into your head" that lack of arm does not mean that it is the end of the Inquisitor.
