The characters I create look nothing like me. I often give them a personality similar to mine, but I don't really self-insert. The idea of me being a warrior of any kind is so ridiculous that it would take me out of the experience completely.

Besides, the results would probably not be all that flattering. I tried the face recognition of the Mii Maker once... it recognized me as male unless I smiled. Still rebuilding my self-esteem.

I'd rather they spent their budget on good writing.

*imagines himself using this*

*imagines the Family Guy clip where Stewie is trying on Lois' makeup and saying to Brian, "I look good and you know it!"*

Please yes! I tried to make a character who looks like me for DA:I, but I just couldn't nail it, and something like face-scanning for a game is a life-long dream of mine. I'd even buy the camera for my PS4 just for this!

I'm not necessarily "opposed" to the idea of face scanning, but it better be optional. My characters are my creations, not my copies. I never intend for my characters to be an extension of myself.

Besides, nobody would ever believe that my character snagged some smoking hot space babe if he had my face. :(

Yes, this technology is flawless and should be used for everything.

I vote no and it promotes the stinkin thinkin that we should only keep playing human PCs.

EA is more than capable of making decent character creators.  Take a mirror/photo and figure it out if you want your pc to look like you.

Personally, I would never use it.  I play RPGs to escape my real life, not to look at a weird pixelated image of myself.  Besides...while I am a lovely human being (or try to be), my face is not a warrior's face.  It's more like a marshmallow...

Nah...just wouldn't work for me!
