ME1:
1. Being made the 1st human Spectre
2. Kaidan triping on his words, almost telling Shep he loves her. And that near kiss.
3. Anderson punched Udina :D
4. Race to Ilos
5. Everything about the ending. Especially when you thought Shep was a gonner but then shows up with a smug grin on her face.

ME2:
5. Joker showed Shep the SR2
6. Returning dog tags and build a monument to the SR1 in Alchera(?) This is when my Shep thought that Hackett is a smart man indeed. If anything, to me it feels like Shep was doing her own loyalty mission. So personal in so many level, cementing her heart further to the SA, regardless wether they'll take her back in or not (well, Shep didnt know at that time :P)
7. Looking at Kaidan's pic before reaching omega relay.
8. Telling TIM to go screw by blowing the CB and have Miranda calling it quits to her former boss.

ME3:
9. Every scene with Kaidan (especially during Citadel dlc and when he took the initiative to kiss Shep in London :D in the open. I'm sure the soldiers standing a few feet from us there wouldn't notice *cough* :P )
10. Helllooooo Kelros.
11. Returning back to eden prime with liara and kaidan
12. Citadel dlc. Hands down. Making a budget movie with Javik, bailing Grunt out of trouble, Wrex apparently needs 2 ice packs  almost died there, girls night out with Miranda and everything else.

Reading this thread and looking at some of the videos/pics makes me very nostalgic. Mass Effect is one of those experiences that triggers your emotions. I've heard many people say that they wished they were back in 2007, embarking on this amazing journey for the first time - into the unknown. I hope Mass Effect: Andromeda can capture some of the magic from the original trilogy.

Here's another great moment for me:

The goodbye scene with Liara in Mass Effect 3. I didn't even romance Liara, but she was Shepard's best friend. This was a powerful moment.

ME1:
-Vigil: Even though it's just a massive infodump, there's something moving about a rickety computer describing, with complete dispassion, the final desparate days of a once-great civilization.
-Virmire: I actually liked both Kaidan and Ashley as characters, so this was a fairly difficult choice for me. I usually just end up saving Kaidan nowadays because (1) he's higher ranking, (2) he's more useful in ME3, and (3) Ashley just doesn't have any great content after ME1.
-I also just loved all the elevator conversations and the random stuff the enemies would say while you're fighting. "Go! Go! Go!" "Enemies everywhere!", etc.

ME2:
-Mordin's whole loyalty mission was one of my favorites from the whole series.
-From Legion's loyalty mission: "Alert: EM flux will be hazardous to unshielded organic forms. Addendum: the interior of this station is not shielded."

ME3:
-"This isn't about strategy or tactics!" Just kidding. That was terrible.
-The whole Tuchanka mission was pretty great, but my favorite moment from the whole thing was probably this:
Mordin: Thresher maw getting closer!
Wrex: Tell me something I don't know!
Mordin: Metal in truck an excellent iron supplement for maw's diet!

I love the moment when the Reapers invaded Thessia.

Everyone sacrificed their lives to get Shepard to the temple, and he didn't even get what he needed. I especially love the bit right before the scene fades to black. Just Shepard contemplating on his surroundings, thinking of all the dying soldiers and civilians.

It was a really great moment. It showed that the Reapers don't mess around. They will kill you.

My very favorite was Shepard and Thane at the end of the Citadel DLC... *sobs softly*   He was the best romance (even if he did have the lamest reunion scene in history in ME3)   They could have done much more with that in ME3 but that's another subject...

Coming in second was avenging Thane (Kai Leng should have remembered "do unto others...").  Very satisfying.

Also the immortal line "I had the reach and she had the flexibility."  hah

This might be low key compared to everything else, but I love the Renegade ending shot for ME1. Way more awesome than the Paragon one.

I was done. It was a bittersweet ending, one that made me tear up, but I was done.

I was locked in introspective thought for a good hour. I was thinking about the experience for a whole week.

No game has ever done that to me before. No book even.

I'll always be grateful for having played the game after all DLC were released. I think my experience came off the better for it, and the Mass Effect trilogy is an experience that I will never forget.

I actually was inspired to pick up the piano thanks to the track "An End Once And For All". It's the first song I ever learned ;)

  1. "Charge."
  2. Jacob's dad getting his brains bashed right the -- in
  3. The Mr. Toad's Wild Ride scene in Shadow Broker and banter between FemShep and Liara
  4. FemShep in the party dress
  5. Thane's assassination of that Asari rich chick in the tower in his introduction
  6. The first look at the inside of the main incubation chamber in the Collector ship and realization of how many humans were taken
  7. Garrus laughing about funneling the idiots in his ME2 reintroduction shootout "into scope".
  8. The entire Normandy crash site sequence, with the flashbacks, and setting up the memorial. Even though I haven't got a clue what that thing under the Normandy on the statue is.

There's more, but those stood out to me as great.

Talking to the Catalyst was the highlight of the franchise in my opinion. So much wisdom being shared by two equal intelligences in their mutual mission to save the galaxy from itself. The "Is fire at war?"-line alone deserves a Nobel Prize.

What do you mean, I'm indoctrinated? You're indoctrinated. You're never taking me alive!

It makes more sense with stick figures man. I think you "just didn't get it" because of the fantastic art and graphics distracting you.

Also I ain't even mad anymore (as long as they don't repeat all the same mistakes). Comedy is the best therapy.

To be honest, if Bioware was smart? They would put some jokes making fun of themselves and that third act in Andromeda. Might bring some closure to their audience and would be the best way to say "sorry". Now if they attack their own customers/audience again in the game and play up that entitled BS? RIP Bioware/ME franchise lol. If anything I have my popcorn ready. It should be a blast either way.

1. Citadel assault. One of the best sequences in trilogy. When you play through these, you start to think that devs actually care about what they are doing.

2. Shooting Mordin. When I play evil I want to feel evil like this, not some greedy psycho.

3. "I should go" philosophy lecture by Shepard. Gave chuckle to me and good end to trilogy long accidental meme.

Yeah that shooting Mordin was downright brutal. That whole part of the game was awesome. John Dombrow did one heck of a job with Tuchanka. He is a fantastic game writer. Very happy he is involved in ME:A.

Actually, the best thing was finding ME1 in the bargain bin and deciding to give it a shot.

Another favorite moment of mine is ME1 during the final mission. Moving through the Citadel, Sovereign in the distance, fighting the Geth and eventually Saren made the final mission exciting.

Mass effect 1

- The balcony scene in the citadel - Kaidan was adorable.

- The spectre nomination - Oh boy that felt good.

- Tricking the Hannar smuggler in Noveria. I loved the smug face Shepard did lol Felt bad after tough, even if the game didin't show he was probably killed by that Krogan.

- Beat it! I said BEAT IT! If you poke me again I will trow you off that balcony! Go find something else to do, stupid mammal!

- The building sexual tension between Shepard and Kaidan, culminating in that sexy near kiss scene.

- Anderson punching Udina - Oh boy that felt good [2]

- Everything beyond this point.

Mass effect 2

-  Joker showing the SR2 to Shepard.

-  EDI

-  Recruiting Archangel.

-  Mordin, nuff said.

- Tali's loyalty mission.

- Suicide mission.

Mass effect 3

- THE WHOLE GAME. Yes the ending could be better, but I love everything else.

- Citadel DLC.

Best moment? Hands down...when Mordin died cause we would have gotten it wrong lol.

Correction: When Mordin drops the mic on the genophage, the reapers, Ceberus, the Normandy, Mass Effect, Science, and Life.

Nobody can brag about how they created a super genophage, whooped Blue Suns ass, Krogan ass, Collector ass, reaper tech ass, reaper ass, cured his own super disease, created an ultra cure that worked so efficiently that krogan kids were born the moment that spec of light touched Shepard's hand, then went out like a  BOSS/CEO/FOUNDER Salarian god. Nevar forget the legendary Mordin Solus.

My favorite moment was the renegade interrupt during Miranda;s loyalty mission. So badass HARDKOAR that the mercs upstairs **** their pants until the end of time. They locked up Sedaris because she stunk so bad.

ME1:
- The entire Virmire assault. Hot dropping in the Mako, talking down Wrex, the conversations with both Saren and Sovereign, and the epilogue on the Normandy with the sad music in the background for Ash or Kaidan.
- All of the Prothean visions, but specifically the one with Shiala.
- Meeting Vigil, and overhearing the security recording beforehand. "Cannot be stopped! CANNOT! BE! STOPPED!".
- The entire "From the Wreckage" scene.
- Saving the Ascension.
- And don't forget some of Renegade Shep's over the top dialogue. "We don't have time to deal with this idiot. CHARGE!". "She's surrounded by Geth pointing guns at us, SHOOT HER!".

ME2:
- The Normandy Reborn.
- The conclusion of Overlord and pistol whipping Gavin Archer (Because what kind of asshat left David with him?). And when you realize that the garbled voice is David yelling "MAKE IT STOP!".
- Gently shoving the Biotic God.
- Mordin's introduction.
- Illusive Man's introduction.
- Samara's introduction.
- Giving Tali a hug. Doesn't matter how much of a ruthless jerk you are, you hit that interrupt.
- The Suicide Mission with the crew rescued and the squad surviving. I half expected Shep to be leaning out the Normandy's window flipping Harby the bird.
- Hanging up on the Illusive Man in the Paragon ending.
- The Collectors. They're my single favourite antagonists in the series, especially due to their epic theme song.

ME3:
- Leaving Earth.
- Running into Jack on the Grissom Academy.
- Pretty much everything involving Javik, especially the final conversation on Earth, and the flashback scenes of his war against the Reapers.
- Finishing Lieutenant-Bastard Kai Leng.
- Curing the genophage, saying goodbye to Mordin, cue "Vigil's Theme".
- Making peace between the Geth and the Quarians.
- "And then I'm going to space both your heads OUT THE AIRLOCK!"
- "YOU! Get off my ship!"
- Traynor's toothbrush.
- Learning that Mordin had broken Omega's one rule, in more ways then one.
- The final scene for the Citadel DLC.

I never got the idea that they should make fun of themselves, its been a few years do you really still need some ointment for your burns?  In jokes at their own expense at best would just bring problems people had back up front and at worst ****** off the group of fans that actually liked the endings by telling them their experience was wrong.
