And you really can't miss the fun that is playing with Bosun + Bloody: (172 kills on that run)

In Perilous and below I think Bloody shines and holds priority over the other top-tier daggers. Those being the following:

Bosun's

Hakkon's Mercy

Savage Thorn - For those who need survival

This is especially true when high stats are present. Which of the above you choose to forgo depends a lot on promotions. Seriously, you could have walked around and face-tanked everything with a Hakkon's Mercy and Bloody Bargain and wrecked equally on Perilous.

For those with low promotions Bosun's is probably better than Hakkon's Mercy on the Alchemist and Assassin, and since they are lower in promotions they should probably use the Bloody Bargain since they'll primarily be playing Perilous.

I like the concept behind a Assasin-lite Alchemist. But, couldn't see myself giving up the improved EXP and arguably effectiveness of Mines and or Shatters. No Cull The Hurd makes that build legitimately a gimp Assassin...with the same gimp EXP generation.

I had the same reservations, but she's way cuter than Argent! Also I love how her build completes way earlier than assassin.

No cull the herd does hurt true

Totally right about the cuter aspect.

But, you can have the same abilities on the Assassin at the same level. Assassin then has access to Cull The Herd and Cheapshot within a couple levels...Alchemist is pretty much capped out and out of stuff to take that improves the build.

I guess you get access to Sneak Attack earlier with the Alchemist, but that doesn't really matter with a build that takes advantage of Knife in the Shadows.

Bosun + Bloody Bargain is an awesome combo for Silent Sister. It is very easy to position yourself behind the enemies when you have all that speed and you are constantly knocking down enemies. All the mobs seem to melt with one ability on NM when you get behind them. The thing that makes it really good is that you still do full damage even if hitting from the front even though the text on Bosun implies you would not. This means you dont always need to worry if you are behind the enemy or not, but you will ofcourse pretty fast get used to being behind them most of the time.

I do not have Hakkon dagger yet and my crit chance is still not high enough to get the full benefit from it anyways so i cannot compare, but i can say my kills in NM went up like crazy after i got the Bosun on SS and instead of using 3 abilities on one mob they die from one TB/HB/SB.

Finally tried the Bosun on my assassin, is very good.  My concern  about the front damage was unfounded.

I tried also last night.... front damage was still 800+ per hit...

told someone in game as I said goodnight and they didn't believe me.....

Insane damage and speed and pretty easy to get behind

In fact I swear some attacks were giving the bonus damage from the side as I worked my way around to the back.

For the last 2 nights I haven't been able to get more than 4 dagger kills (total) on perilous with both the assassin and alchemist.  I even dropped to threatening and solo'd through wave 4 and got exactly 0 dagger kills.  I realize that some of the abilities take precedence (elemental mines presumably), but even with only autoattacking I didn't get any kills registered for the challenge.  Are the runes getting the kills and registering as elemental?  I can't tell because those challenges are done.  FYI I'm using hakkon/savage thorn.

Hakkon's are bugged and don't count towards the challenges.

Swap out your Hakkon dagger and you should be good to go.

Oh really? I had no idea.  And presumably nullifies the off hand dagger as well?  regardless, thanks for the information, very helpful, hopefully I can complete it tonight.

I have been practicing with all my rogues and getting pretty good at going around the back.   It is really fun in FC when there are so many of them.   The only problem is that when I am on my lego.. they kept turning to face me when I am trying to get to their back out of habit... what the hack? :P

You are wearing too much armour! Strip off whatever your lego was wearing and put on Legionnaire's Plate and slap on your inquisition shield. Then bring him to HB and see if everything starts to ignore you. If that doesn't work, keep using these gear until it works.
