I'm playing the game on a retail version of the game, and while attempting to do the beam puzzle that is on a station to leave the room, the game crashes to the desktop if the beam touches any of the walls. It crashes without fail if the beam touches the wall, and I can't solve the problem. I'm running the game on Windows 7 64-bit, with a Nvidia 250 GTS, E6600 processor at 2.4 speed, and am running the game at full settings without film grain and at 4x anti-aliasing. Thanks for any help with the issue!

Exact same problem. Ran the game at max settings plus forced 8x AA without a single problem until then.

same problem here, when you contect the final beam relay; and after that during the horizon misson when you encounter the 1st praetorin when EDI says " Power 100% I have control" You get another game breaking crash that halts your progress into the game.

Found a workaround until they get it patched up. It's a bit tricky, but you have to solve the puzzle while not looking at where the beam hits, if you can't see the beam hitting the wall it won't crash.

Wow! Tried to log on again and, wouldn't you know it, it's telling me that the game hasn't been released in New York yet! It's still insisting, despite all available evidence, that it's actually the day before yesterday. Crazy.
So how about telling us what you're doing to fix it, Bioware? Tell us what the problem is? Tell us approximately when it'll be fixed? That would be swell, don't you think?

Just wanted to say that I had been having this problem too, but solving the puzzle without having the beam on the screen does work.
