How do I change their casual outfits, not their armor. I saw a video of miranda wearing a black suit instead of her usual white one.

You have to complete their personal missions. Talk to them for a while and after a few big missions they'll ask you to help you out with something of theirs. Once you do, one of the rewards is the alternate outfit.

When you get to the team selection screen and you highlight her character, hit the Y button (for 360), if you have it for the PC, it should tell you what to hit when you have her character highlighted.
