Instead of moving them where it would be more appropriated? Oh, wait, there is no Off Topic forum to move to. So where are we supposed to post off topic stuff?

At the very least I would like to be informed that my thread has been deleted. It is very disrespectful to do it and say nothing about it.

Like it was posted in the deleted thread:

Someome replied:
"Fun fact: Witcher developers used to post here and talk to us about their games. They can't do it now though. Because there's no accessible Off Topic section. I miss them. They were totally humble."

Are you humble Bioware?

That someone was me. Anyway, Bioware doesn't want anything posted on the Bioware forums that isn't Bioware related. If it is connected to or associated to Bioware in some fashion, it should fit into one of the pre-existing sections. If it doesn't, it doesn't belong.

I don't like it either, it makes this place far less fun to visit and participate in, especially in this lull period where Bioware has nothing going on and all you can talk about are things you've talked to death about a hundred times over. *shrugs*

Just post in the MEA forums. 90 percent of threads in there don't even discuss MEA but "gender politics". Just dress it up as MEA related and you will be fine ;)

Well, I'm sorry I couldn't remember your name, the thread was deleted! =}
But I also mentioned it on The Witcher Forums and kept your anonymity since I don't know how people like to be mentioned by name especially where they don't probably know about it. I think I also expressed my love for BW in that post, to a certain degree and I'd like to share it here now:

Bioware Social Network used to be my homepage after Dragon Age Origins had a huge impact on me (over 2,000 hrs playing it and still more to come). Or course, after The Witcher 1 and particularly during development and pos-release of The Witcher 2, (and the big disEAppointment with DA2) the Off Topic Forum on BSN had a huge thread about The Witcher games and CDPR where many BW fans who where also TW fans discussed the games. I had forgot it but indeed, some CDPR people eventually posted on that thread.

BNS has changed its forums from the cool one of those days, albeit always in Beta stage, to a pasteurized EA-like forum. All the forums were moved to the new one and The Off Topic forum is still there with all the threads but that forum is CLOSED. No new posts or threads are allowed. So I posted the following in another forum, using it as a sort of Off Topic with the link to the video I "stole" and uploaded to YouTube with the presentation of GotY award: (I don't crave for views. I do it because I love these games and make videos of them as a tribute, like my over 200 videos of Dragon Age Origins with some 3 million views total - very low compared to professional youtubers but mine are funny! Some even copied a few of my ideas. hehe)

"A small studio from Warsaw, using Bioware's Aurora engine started an amazing saga with one hell of a badass main character as protagonist of a trilogy that expanded the books in which his stories were first narrated. And it ended in this. (GOTY) Well deserved indeed!"

Someome replied:

All this to say that GotY was well deserved and it was already deserved with TW2. But the Developer of the Year award, for me, is the one that I valued the most. Like many others, I've been a fan and a supporter of CD Projekt since The Witcher 1 days. Didn't post much after I registered on those days because I was still with DA:O forums as my main gaming discussion home. But I believed in CDPR all the way and I have just one request for them:

Keep it humble like you have always been and don't ever, never, ever, ever, ever, let EA come close to you with any sort of proposal or just reject them all! You don't need them. We gamers will be much better off while you don't need them! Thanks again, CDPR!

EDIT:

I hope Bioware stops deleting my threads or even undelete the one I mentioned. I know Bioware loves me as much as I love them (Can't say the same for EA but hey, I'm still spending my hard earned bucks on every piece they release with the Bioware brand.)

First, BW made a character in DA:Awakening after my own Warden (created with the stand alone CC pre-DA:Origins release)
Then they named a Reaver Skill Dragon Rage, after my BSN Alias =))) (which used to be only RageGT but I changed it to DragonRageGT as a tribute to Dragon Age long before Inquisition was even announced)

I took a look at the archived Lobby and was surprised to see no new topics moved there. I fully expected it to be full of moved threads. Guess someone sent the mods a step-by-step guide on how to find and use the delete function. Or maybe it just doesn't work anymore since you can move topics into archived boards and now the mods have to live with the strenous work of moving their mouse course a couple more pixels.

Pretty much all of the former Lobby has already either migrated to VSN or left, no point resurrecting it again here with a function that's probably next on BW's chopping block.

You are free to join us there, of course.

This. The VSN isn't quite like the BSN where I could talk to so many more people about everything Bioware and otherwise, but its a great way to stay connected to people who were pissed off about 12 minutes of warning and no communication beyond it(bravo, whoever made that call, feel the sarcasm from across the screen).

I'd still prefer if OT was back, but VSN has its own minor charm.
