Protheans in Andromeda?

Does anybody think it possible that Protheans did the same thing as the Milky Way species seem to have done (Flee to Andromeda in case of defeat)? We could see their subspecies too.

I doubt it, from what Javik mentions to Shepard, the Protheans were a very dominant race and cowardly races/people were killed or sacrificed to the Reapers. They don't seem like the kind or people to run away from a fight. But anything is possible...

On the contrary they´ve run many projects in order to overcome Reapers, they put warnings in the space and they also tried to use cryo, so I wouldn´t be surprised if they were even able to get in there...

I think having Protheans in Andromeda will diminish Javik's role in the third game.

I think the Prothean equivalent will be Remnants

You mean the game that's already over? ![]()

doubt it.
the reapers snuck up on them. the reason this cycle was different was cuz they had a warning. (which they mostly still ignored.)

They would be, had Cerberus not gone back in time and taken their Andromeda ark ship, establishing a new civilization that will greet us in the future.

I'd like to see a mission to inspect a prothean ship full of frozen corpses and about 10 to 15 survivors waiting to be defrosted.

You mean it's possible to diminish his role anymore than it already has been diminished?
Hell, he was a DLC Bonus Character, that alone should tell you how central he was to the plot of ME3.
He barely had proper dialogue, he barely supplied any interesting information about the Protheans, and was barely worth bringing into a fight.
All in all, if Bioware wanted to give us a sad caricature of a Prothean, empty of anything meaningful aside from all consuming angst, they succeeded.

Actually he was the Catalyst in the original script. So yep, he was VERY central.

As much as Crucible, Reaper´s origin... lol they were all so diminished by BioWare that in the end it took two DLCs in attempt to make a sense from ending which still don´t make sense at all ![]()

Depends, if we fled during the reaper war then yes. If not then no.
Since we can get to Andromeda why not them? This does no mean i would like them returning. That would be like Cerberus returning.

Nah, I prefer we get something new.

Yeah, Protheans are the has-beens of the Milky Way Galaxy. I would like to see new Andromeda alien races, have them become crew/squad mates.

That doesn't make sense because most of the Protheans are dead/turned into Collectors, and the last of the Collectors were destroyed in previous games.

Really? I had no idea. Sounds lame if you ask me, but to be fair I haven't seen the whole "original" script.
That said, I care very little for "Word of God" and other types of information that come from outside the media that was used to deliver the actual story.

Do we have an amount of time since the relay has existed?

Why would they do that? It seems very anti-Prothean. I mean, we're talking about a race that felt so dominant that they considered the Asari to be "food".

And you don't want to either, it's kinda depressing.

If the ship leaves after Thessia, its possible the asari would say 'by the Prothean' and 'embrace Javik' when they see Protheans in Andromeda. hahaha
Javik was a good character. His dialogue on Thessia especially in the temple was excellent. Its about the only good thing I can say about the mission

The Protheans played their part. They started out as the long departed "elder brother species" in ME1 to whom we all owed so much. Then we learned the "truth", that they were us, 50K years ago. They lost their fight, but they gave us a chance. The Collectors gave us an expanded perspective on their doom, and Javik filled in a lot of blanks, finally giving us a real look at the truth of the Prothean Empire, the good and the bad.
The Crucible was cheesy as hell, but I definitely feel the concept they were going for-- that our victory would be a collective victory achieved by a collective effort across countless cycles. More than any prior species, though, it seems to me that we owe the Protheans the most. We would not have won the fight without them. We would've been easily crushed when Sovereign opened the Citadel Relay. They changed the game. We got to charge into battle with the last living Prothean in our crew, and afterward he left this galaxy on his own terms. Please let the Protheans' story end there, nobly. No lame additions in ME:A.

If the Protheans made their way to Andromeda they would have done what they did in the Milky Way, subdue all races and make them join the Prothean Empire. It would just be a reminder of how the Milky Way would be had the Reapers not shown up.
