Scimitar is fun on an Infiltrator, GPSM is a barrel of laughs on the Destroyer (extra ammo and no stagger). The Phalanx is no Carnifex, but it's totally viable for pistol sniping with the scope + HVB + AP ammo.

​I use the scimitar mainly just for nostalgia. It was my favorite shotgun in ME2 and I don't want to just let it collect dust because it sucks in ME3.

​I actually find the Geth Plasma on my human adept to be a surprisingly effective way to finish off enemies that won't survive long enough for me to bother with a full biotic combo.

​Phalanx just......I dunno. I just like the way it handles.

​Predator is fun to me just because I have really, really fast fingers and I take no shortage of pleasure when I score 1st with a weapon that most people would consider to be one of if not THE worst weapon in the game.

​Don't worry, I'm not fooling myself into believing these weapons are better than they are. I just like to use them. I won't be taking the Scimitar into platinum anytime soon.

You wont find much in the way of agreement here, but I also like the Phalanx. Whilst building a manifest, it's one of the best guns available. It is light, packs a punch comprobable to the Mattock which the BSN seems to love to love, and has a good enough firing rate for a semi-auto, which a decent clipsize and functional reserve ammo. It's never going to compete with URs, which is the problem, most people here seem to have forgotten what it's like to not have all their URs at level X.

Aww. But reading that makes me extra happy now that I got a surge protector powercord for our systems.

We don't get lots of lightning storms here up north but at least it gives some additional false-security feelz. Our wall sockets don't have surge protection built-in, as they have in some countries, like Australia.

 

I did manage to get some nice accidental all-Turian trios with PUGs last week. Until some scumbag showed up.

On-topic: finally got my Lancer, CSMG, and Eagle on my newbie-account last week. And the Run-from-box-to-box-rrier.

On a character that can increase firing rate, the Phalanx really does become a pocket Mattock.  I took it into lolsilver on my Quarksman, made the "mistake" of equipping the heavy barrel because I thought it would be necessary, and found it pretty much OP.

 

Would probably be fine in Gold on a QMS or Tsol as long as you don't mind spamming the trigger.
