Personally I loved the Mass Effect 3's multiplayer, in my opinion the best horde mode type of cooperative out there. I really want to see it return, while that may be hard to do in the first game of a new trilogy, it was just so much fun, I find myself waiting for the day I see ME3 on backwards compatiability so I can pick it back up and start bring the wrath of the Batarians down on my foes.

Now I do understand wanting to do something new and can certainly agree with that, but the firefight is a proven formula that lets players be those other species that they love so much. My wish is to see something new and the return of the my beloved game mode. I long for the day that I will be able get my friends together so that we might go to new places, meet new peoples, and kill them.

I fear for ME:A mp.  Using the same engine as DAIMP, if they have the same issues as DAIMP it will be a big bag of fail.  And I'm saying this as a guy that has played a lot of DAIMP.

Honestly it got to the point were I could not play DAI mp, it simply wouldn't work and that was a big fear that I had as I thought about what I would see in ME:A. The concept was solid, but I still found the horde mode of ME3 much more enaging.

I want to see ME3MP with better graphics and core machanics.

I do fear DAIMP's influence on ME:AMP. Will they choose fun factor or profits. As bad as DA:IMP is I bet it made alot of money because of how it was structured.

I still haven't tried DA's multiplayer, but loved ME's. All I hope for is Andromeda's is basically an improved version of ME3's. Like you said, better mechanics and just overall gameplay.

Unlimited characters with proper character creation. If I want to have five different builds for my Asari Adept, JUST LET ME! What does Bioware gain by not letting us play the way we want to?

1) Horde Mode is Best Mode.

I do not think the DAI:MP attempt at a multiplayer 'campaign'/five-part map felt good. (of course that's in part because I do not think Dragon Age's current gameplay mechanics really support a good multiplayer, plus there was no playable Mabari.  :(  ) If anything, it was more tedious than fun. Perhaps MEA:MP will pull off a better job at it given the difference in gameplay, but I'd prefer the main gala to be the horde mode we all know and love.

---------

2) No unique characters.

I'd rather our multiplayer heroes remain silent, unless we all want to hear about how we fought off Reapers for Three days when trapped on Tuchanka. Over. and Over. and Over. and Over.

What's more, this allows for more customization of characters in the form of armor parts, colors, and patterns. I do not expect to see the implementation of face customization nor do I see the need given we will not be seeing the character's face for extended periods of time or for cutscene reasons. If its added for the humans whoop-de-doo it doesn't matter but is a nice thing, but otherwise focus on other matters first.

------

3) More everything.

Essentially, everyone's main hope as far as MEA:MP is seems to be 'ME:MP but better'. So, you know: more guns, bombs, and things that go boom!

I never thought of this while playing ME3MP. That would be great.

Frankly, it's a lot to ask for, because it is still astonishing that it happened last time, but I hope MP remains included at no additional cost. Beyond that, given the obvious quality of the last effort, I'll gladly leave out my own suggestions out and instead eagerly await on the end product.

Actually, when I have talked to people in the industry, I have heard the exact opposite.  ME3 made a lot of money on multiplayer -- so much that EA has pretty much mandated multiplayer from here on.  DA:I has had a much harder time earning money and holding players.

The issue is the deep level progression of the items.  It is lot easier to monetize when the item progression is shallow but widely varied (indeed this was a core concept in Magic TG's business model from the very beginning).

Dragon Age multiplayer was hobbled by having Dragon Age combat, lol, a problem that the next Mass Effect won't have.

I'm not a strong MP guy (as can be seen in a lot of my posts here) but if some things were added I would surely be more excited to try it out:

1: Character Creation

Let me customize my MP char just like I do for SP. It's one of the things that keep me coming back to the sp mode, creating my character makes me enjoy more playing as him/her. I tryed playing with the preset characters in DA:I's mp and I just became bored by them (I did wanted to play as Isabela though, but since her was locked until I reached the appropriate level, I simply quit). Quite the same happened with ME3 mp, but the gameplay was fun, so it kept me interested for some hours.

2: Let me do more than just shoot stuff

The main focus this time is exploration right? So bring this to the mp as well. Let us be the other pathfinders exploring other planets (and other parts of the planets the SP protagonist will explore).

3: Have it's own separate story, that happens in a parallel to the SP story.

It doesn't have to be something very well written, leave this to the SP. But just something happening to justify the action. No need to animated scenes here as well, just something like this:

Spoiler

And we can choose the answers in the dialogue weel as usual. That being said, make the stories happen in a parallel but never interact with each other. Keep the to experiences separated. Npcs can mention what's happening just to give the world consistency, but that's enough.

4: Last but not least, make the combat just as fun as it was in the ME3MP

No need to change anything here, just give us more things to do besides shooting and I'm in the boat ;P

Literally ME3 MP, which was perfect, but with more and bigger maps (and obviously fitting the new story) if they so desire.

1) bigger, more complex maps.

2) more maps

3)more characters (I loved how unique each character was in playing style due to different stats and powers)

4) better multiplayer servers (yes i know the ME multiplayer relied, and realistically, still will rely on EA servers so EA needs to improve in terms of their servers. Lagging during or out of games isn't fun!)

5) Relevance with the SP campaign without making it compulsory, ME3's war assets system made me ant to blow my f***ing brains out.

6) possibly more dynamic combat AI, so that different enemy factions have different tactics correspondent to the teams (or player's if soloing) play-style. (ME3 factions had different types of enemies, but the teactic that usually occurred was just that they through as many of themselves at the players as possible)

Note:

while I have made a few criticisms of ME3's multiplayer on multiple fronts, I still thoroughly enjoyed it.

Was DAIMP more successful than ME3MP? I didn't play lots of multiplayer, but had a good time when I did on ME3. I tried DAI MP a few times but it was always laggy and I had a hard time even joining a session. I never even got far enough to unlock more characters than the starting three.

From what I've heard, it seems acknowledged that ME's multiplayer was more successful. They released tons of free add ons for it with lots of new features. DAI's in comparison seemed like most updates were balance issues and bug fixes. There were five agents added to DAI, it seems like a lot more were added to ME3.

Just do whatever they did with ME3MP. I just hope they A) keep it co-op, and B ) keep it the hell out of the single player. Otherwise, I'm easy.

I don't know why DAI's MP was terrible, I just know that I attempted exactly 2 partial matches, and they were 6 months apart, whereas I spent considerably more time in ME3MP than I did in the campaign.

ME3MP, but faster, harder, better, stronger.

And completely, entirely, thoroughly separate from SP.

I like DAIMP, have played it a lot but there is zero disputing that it is a buggy unreliable mess.  I'll say one thing, MEAmp better make money and fast for them or they will drop it like a hit potato.

And here I am still hoping for a patch to run ME3 mp on a local network as a host. That was the most fun multiplayer game I saw since Doom!

Well, I greatly enjoyed ME:3's multiplayer, so more of that is always a good thing.

However, though I highly doubt they would implement it because of their business model, I would like the option to purchase certain weapons rather than have to rely solely on the RNG gods.  Sure keep the packs, but maybe have the option to spend credits for one gun so that even if I'm unlucky, I will at least get what I want if I save up enough.  I wouldn't even mind if the gun was at an insane markup (like, the equivalent of 15-20 gold/platinum runs for a Black Widow).  After all, you don't want just anyone running around with the ultra rares unless they've really worked for them and earned them.  But given I wasn't really able to play much of the higher tier stuff because I kept getting great SMGs even though I played a sniper, the option to buy some good guns through something other than RNG attrition would be nice.
