Personally, I'd like a functionality to be added to the main menu, that when you click it, it instantly erases all memory of the multiplayer ever existing within the Mass Effect universe.  Every single person who played multiplayer in the Mass Effect games gets a sort of....specific amnesia.

They all simultaneously forget having played such an abomination and one by one they gradually go back to the single player.  Then it hits them.  They realize that single player is what Mass Effect is all about.  That campaign players shouldn't be locked out of outfit content and be forced to wait for patches while the developers constantly focus on updating new maps for multiplayer or be locked out of the least crappy ending simply because they don't have enough awesome points.

This functionality would bring a new paradise to the Bioware fanbase.  We would all live in harmony and bliss.  There would be no more fanboy wars.  No more flaming.  Everything would be just as it should be.

....Yeah, I'd like something like that added to multiplayer.

Even if I had my memory wiped of all traces of Mass Effect MP, and I sat down to play SP in ME:A, do you know what would be the first thought in my mind?

"This game is really cool, but it would be awesome if I could play it with my friends."

Which is the same thing that goes through my head when I play any really fun SP game (The Witcher, Fallout, Mass Effect, etc.)

To be fair, you can have fun.  Just not at the cost of other people's fun.

1. PvE, maybe eight player co-op this time around. Larger maps, more enemies, more side objectives, just bigger overall.

2. Objectives (scan terminals, carry X to drop point, etc.) should be optional instead of mandatory.

3. Fully playable offline, with customizable AI (class, weapons, powers, skill level, etc.) filling in for empty player slots. For offline play only, either have a separate unlock system for everything, or just have everything available to use immediately.

4. Less focus on one-time consumables, more on reusable gear.

Personally I loved the Mass Effect 3's multiplayer

Me too.

Couple things I'd like to see.

***

Melee vastly improved and expanded on. More omni-options and more to do with the options already there. Paladin Shield is great in MP but could be so much better with refinement.

***

Something along the lines of...

Random idea(s) floating through my head.

I'm going to post it so you can poke holes in it, or agree with it. Or something. (Can't go wrong with posting stupid gifs)

...

Mass Effect has a longstanding tradition of conversation. And one of the best things about MP is that you skip (almost) all of the conversation and get to the juicy fighting. There's only so much spacebar I can stands, and then I can't stands no more.

However, what if at the beginning of every mission, those jerks that don't have time for aerial bombardment, actually did.

What I mean is, via a very quick (mission-relevant) conversation, the mission gave two, three, maybe even four options, to help the team. A vote through the conversation would decide what "Mission Bonus" (for lack of a better term) was awarded at the beginning of the game. In the case of a tie the bonus would be random.

So lets say they actually did a bombardment option, enemies spawning in could all start with lower health/shields.

Or successful espionage gives the team a "ping" of where enemies are spawning, or better yet forewarning of where the devices/drone will be popping up before it's there.

Maybe a supply drop is successful and all ammo boxes on the map provide one extra grenade and a small increase to ammo regen periodically.

Hell, go a step in a completely different direction. Give a credit bonus for making the mission harder. Either by selecting no bonus, or by giving the enemies an increase to shields/numbers, again up to vote, and random in case of a tie.

It would of course have to be balanced, but giving you the option at the beginning of the game for "aerial bombardment". Finally...

***

The other idea, is Objective Wave Bonuses.

So you know that drone you escorted through the map? Maybe after that drone uploads whatever critical intel it had, that critical intel helps the team in some way. Maybe by sealing off a door specifically designed to eliminate a spawn for the rest of the match? Or the drone itself could become an NPC, engaging (in a modest manner) the enemy, or refilling all teammates shields periodically, etc.

The possibilities are endless really, but it'd be nice to see some layers of strategy, rather than tactics, applied to the map in a way that's consistent with the fact that this is an MP based off an SP RPG.

Kk. Done shooting the sh*t.

***

And something like this. There's a more recent reply that I expanded on this idea with, but can't find it. This is the basic though. Essentially I want more options within the spheres of Biotics/Tech in MP.

Be neat if it was another level of tactics to use in the same way thermal clip packs boost your weapon damage; if you had some sort of "overclocking" to it that immediately reset your cooldown and added a bunch to it's force and power damage.

Just a random idea I had just now.

/shrug

***

And finally, more character customization. Pick a class, that class lets you choose from a specific list of powers, you pick the powers. More of an SP feel to it, less of being forced into choosing specific kits with useless A/B options you get funneled into.

ME3MP on steroids & over 9000! Every map having a regular and a hazard version, six different enemy factions, mini bosses, more guns, more unique character kits, more objective rounds, more objective types, no missile glitch, each character kit has male/female option when applicable, six difficulty levels (wood, bronze, sliver, gold, platinum, Dark Matter/Black Hole), more banners, more emblems, more weapons like the ME1 style (PPR,Lancer), some level of map interactivity, some level of map destructibility, more balanced representation of alien kits (no short changing essential ones while having an overabundance of others), and keep the free content rolling out while avoiding all the missteps of the trash grinder DAIMP.

I know what I want from MP. A neat toggle off all MP functions in the game! That would make MP so much more enjoyable for me!

Welp after playing Battlefront, I do not see how they could screw up multiplayer. Frostbite is GORGEOUS, well optimized and they can pretty much take Battlefront's third person combat and tweak it a little bit and call it a day.

The plus side? This game will actually have a campaign...

Multiplayer is the least of my concerns when they have DICE they can interact with, the best FPS game engine atm, and Battlefront even has jetpacks in it, that we have already seen in the ME trailer.

This game will probably have the best Multiplayer of any RPG, ever. The story and writing, is what I am worried about. Multiplayer? Nah. There is no possible way they can mess this up.

ME3MP is awesome, I still play it from time to time. If they recreate it the same way in Andromeda it will be awesome. But I think these would be interesting things to see or at least to consider about ;

- more diverse enemies

- no RNG loot

- increase the population cap for a match on some enormous maps

- customizable characters with more powers/abilities to pick from

(it would be great to be able to select [insert race name] and customize its gender, class, armor, skins and etc)

- tonnes of maps

- I love PvP but alas that will be pretty hard to pull off in ME, I can still dream about it though :)

They realize that single player is what Mass Effect is all about.
